To me, anyways, it doesn’t even look like her.

I thought so to at first but the more I watched the more I thought I was seeing a resemblance. Eventually her identity was going to be revealed.

Who's gonna be better the Panthers or the Hornets?

Well if the preseason is any indication, the Panthers are in for a bad time, but I think we all know this. The NFC South still sucks so maybe if they pull some wins out of their ass.

I'm going to withhold judgement on the Hornets until I get a feel for the new owners. That said if Brandon Miller doesn't work out, oh boy.

Charlotte FC, and Charlotte FC is pretty f***ing mediocre in their own right.

Too bad the NCFC group aren't billionaires, I guarantee they'd be better MLS owners than Tepper who doesn't seem to know shit about the game.

A mother, father and son ran out of gas around 6:30 a.m. in the area of Dink Ashley Road, near Timberlake, North Carolina.
The family was walking home on the side of the road when their son was struck by another vehicle, according to the sheriff. The child died at the scene. The sheriff said the driver, identified as Jeffrey McKay, stopped and called 911. The father of the child who was hit allegedly pulled out a gun and shot McKay, who was transported to a local hospital and died, according to the sheriff.

The sheriff said the mother and father got in McKay's truck and drove away, leaving their dead child at the scene. Deputies found the stolen truck at the family's home and arrested the father, identified as Chad Woods. Woods was charged with second-degree murder and larceny of motor vehicle. Deputies were searching for the weapon used in the shooting, which the shooter said he threw into a pond.

WTF! o_O

edit: Talk about "a butterfly flapping it's wings" effect! What started out as something as simple as not refueling soon enough ended up with a child and another man dead, a father who is almost certainly going to end up in prison, and a woman with her family ripped to shreds.

edit 2: first light in Timberlake was around 6:05 a.m., sunrise around 6:30 a.m. which might help explain the original accident.

I have a season tickets question for anyone who knows, not for next year but potentially the 2 seasons after that as I may be moving to the area temporarily then.... (yes I know I could call a ticket rep and get the answer but I'm lazy so thanks)

So looking at Pure Hockey Club Select North for example, there are 10 different sections that ticket group covers, do you get to pick from the available seats in any of those sections (first come first serve) and are the prices all the same across those sections? Seems crazy to me that section 219 (near center ice) would be the same price as 216, and I'd be interested in 219 but not 216, for example. Whenever I look at resale sites for hockey tickets across all the different stadiums, the sections on the blue lines/closer to center ice are always considerably more expensive than a corner section on the same level.

Never had season tickets can't answer that but will give you this bit of info. At PNC the nose bleed cheap seat behind the Canes score twice net have great views, better then much more expensive seats.

ALL MY CORD CUTTERS OUT THERE

I'm getting tired of watching my Spectrum bill go up every year or two in price for service, and 2x other times with mysterious "fees"...what was $120 a few years ago is now $150 for internet and the minimum "select" streaming package. I can get AT&T (who I'm also not huge on) Fiber for like $60/month, and then would obviously like some sort of TV streaming. Right now I'm considering Sling Orange+Blue combo, which is like $55/month and twice the channel selection I currently have. Any other cord cutters out there with suggestions/insight?

Call spectrum and tell them you are going to ATT unless they can give you a much better deal. In the past, this worked multiple times for me. When it finally didn't, I switched to ATT and streamed games online. Of course, they called me back 2 months after I switched offering a better deal, but it was too late.

Yea they seem reluctant to do that anymore...had a coworker who went through the same thing a couple weeks back and they wouldn't offer anything. Frankly I'm just tired of their random price increases that they tack into some mystery fee/surcharges to act like it's not just a price increase. They've historically been awful at rewarding long-time customers

Show of hands....who still is without power after those storms? ...
I moved 6 years ago and it stormed so hard yesterday our grill blew over. We lose power all the time and I can see the street lights in the subdivision behind us and they never lose power. They must have fixed something because yesterday was the first time in 6 years we didn't lose power during a storm.

In the neighborhood I live in, the staff closed all of the umbrellas before the storm hit. One of the umbrellas still ended up on the roof of the clubhouse after the storm and another was blown out of the pool over to the courts over 100 yards away.

We had some power glitches, but didn't lose power.

We have trees down everywhere. One section of the power lines on Cole Mill Road had lines down over 200 feet along the road. Nearly every road heading south from my part of Durham had trees partially or completely blocking them. And no traffic lights working on most as well.

Drove around Durham this morning, lots of power outages everywhere still, judging from stoplights. Most of East Durham along Holloway and Liberty. Garrett Road at 15-501. Lots of areas south of downtown. Wrecks here and there, because no one knows how to act at uncontrolled intersections. It's still a f***ing mess out there, so be careful.

Just got power back, out near University Station (between HB & Durham). Came in to the baseball game last night after losing power (hey, what else was I gonna do?) - got hit a lot harder than Hillsborough-way. No stoplights through town until Duke St. Drivers behaved well at that point in time!

While I don't agree with the catholic school's restrictions, from what I can tell, she had to sign a document saying she'd abide by it before being hired. Specifically: "employees have to adhere to the teachings of the Catholic Church and refrain from premarital sex."

My wife, who was raised Episcopalian, worked as a teacher at a Catholic School years back. While she didn't have to sign an agreement against pre-marital sex, she had to agree to certain things as a condition of her employment that weren't always consistent with her beliefs. It was her choice to agree with that and after a couple of years, she decided that it wasn't for her.

So yeah, from experience the areas behind the goals (314 and surrounding sections, 333 and surrounding sections) are extremely good seats. If you're looking for lower level I'd do as high as possible in 111/112, 126/127

Yes, def a big fan of the upper rows in the lower section. Been in 109, Row XX for 3 of my 5 years, half season...

Plus you can stand and lean on the back wall. Rarely are the boxes behind you full. And if they are, make friends and get beer!
