They aren't stupid. They know a big part of Punk's draw is worked shoots so they are going to lean in fully to everyone being shoot mad he is back

Absolutely, the Seth thing is 100% a story that they are gonna roll with.

My personal feelings is that I can't imagine being so spineless to go back to work for a company that fired you on your wedding day and one you talked about how much you hated being at for years and years. Even more so when you just worked for one that gave you so much freedom, literally gave you your own show and you still act like a complete baby. He's a phony and a hypocrite but a lot of people are these days. I don't know how you can even have any respect for someone like that.

This is also hysterically ironic considering he attacked his boss and started fights backstage not even 4 months...

There are very few people in wrestling I respect. I long ago made peace with the fact that being a wrestling fan means being entertained by some massive assholes in real life. Humble puts it best.

Punk is one of the biggest bitch boys in wrestling, but he is also entertaining. As much of a grade A royal bitch he is, everyone I think agreed that if he and the Elite could be professionals for 5 seconds that a lot of money and entertaining TV could have come out of Brawl Out.

If WWE is smart they will put him on a Brock schedule where he is barely in the locker room to avoid this problems and just get the on air entertaining bits. We shall see.

I know Seth is working, but I do wonder if Drew is shoot pissed and Punk has already caused problems. We shall see

Punk was a dick in aew

Punk signing in wwe NOW makes a shit ton of sense for both parties. I don’t want it to be true, but it absolutely is. It just remains to be seen whether or not he can play nice

Absolutely agree but there's also a difference in not wanting to spend money on that product to support those people. Phony Phil hits a different level for me but I know not everyone cares about that stuff.

He'll be kept in check. This isn't AEW. The prisoners don't run the asylum in WWE.

The problem I have with Punk, who has been my favourite wrestler for years, is that he just can't go anymore. He's bad in the ring now.

Absolutely but WWE is a better place to work around it since they are more interested in the promos and story over a 5 star work rate match.

Punk is going to wrestle like 3 times between now and Mania, if that.

Like maybe they do a match with Roman at the Rumble, a match in Aussie (he might win EC outright) and Mania night 1.

I agree. Like I wouldn't judge any AEW fan if they took their money and went home if Hogan showed up for instance.

Everyone has a red line

It would be hilarious if they can get Punk vs Cody to headline Wrestlemania. lol

Also thank God for AEW because having two competitive North American wrestling companies means we get crazy moments like this more often.

Don't care which product you prefer, we should all agree that wrestling was dull for a while and now we got two companies trying to one up each other we are getting lots of fun stuff for both fan bases.

Vince finally being done helps too

Orton and Punk in one night (R Truth too), Edge and Ospreay within the last month.

I'm not trying to compare or anything. Just both companies have exciting moments happening when it comes to company hopping and/or surprises.

Pro wrestling. Damn. Sometimes it just be like that i guess. These two companies just trading stars left and right, swapping problems, signing big names. Seems the momentum has been swinging back to the WWE side for a while, this certainly helps too.

I don’t think Punk ever wrestles again if not for his aew run. Just too bad he couldn’t play nice cuz i think there was a shit ton of money to be made over there if he was patient

As it stands now, he’s a mega star in todays wwe at least

Competition is always a great thing, for the fans and for the workers.

My biggest complaint about WWE is the pricing of tickets and 2 nights of mania that makes the whole weekend more expensive for the fans. The cost of my past mania tickets, even if you just go back to mania 30 in New Orleans compared to what the Philly tickets are costing is insane. I can't justify it. It was literally cheaper for me to fly to London for All In than spend money on 2 nights of mania for decent seats. Even worse that big stadium shows are never that great in terms of a viewing perspective.

Two good seats for two nights of mania almost pays for half of 1 of my Devils season ticket seats that's normally 44 games, it's absurd and unjustifiable.

Granted,I went to a MetLife stadium mania when it was 1 night. But my main event was rock v Cena 2…i still had the time of my life despite the trash card and sitting in the heavens. It was dizzying how high up i was. It was well worth the money. I think i paid around 150 bucks. We also drove down from Boston and stayed overnight at a friends apartment, so costs were low

Oh their pricing is ridiculous, it sucks ass, but clearly someone is willing to pay those prices so us poor folks are out of luck.

100000000% Punk doesn't wrestle in a major company again without AEW.

You don't get Edge out of WWE, or a bunch of guys out of Japan either.

Also don't get WWE trying hard either. I think HHH knows that Stardom isn't as interested in working with AEW as the NOOJ men are and because they want to one up AEW, we are getting a big Joshi push in WWE.

The fans are winning in the end.

I fully admit I'm a seat snob when it comes to wrestling, I'll just stay home and watch if I don't have a good seat. I started traveling for the Royal Rumble before they moved those into larger buildings because it was always a cheaper fun trip to a warmer city a lot of the years but the baseball stadiums are especially awful to see a show so I stopped going to those as well.

Personally I can afford it but I can't justify it. I just don't think the product is worth the prices they are charging. Especially when I can stay home and watch every ppv on peacock for next to nothing and have a better viewing experience.
