Zooming way back out, it is clearer and clearer that while none of these guys on the team are going to be top of the lineup all stars (IMHO not even Eklund), we have a huge collection of young guys who are playing good solid hockey and could develop into really really good complementary players.

Obviously Ek and Zetts, but also today Thrun, Kostin, Zadina, and happily Graf look like sound hockey players with a little skill thrown in. Vets like Granlund and Ferraro aren't great as top of lineup players but can be really solid for the younger guys through the rebuild for the next few years, and hopefully return assets at the right time or transition to supporting roles. We need to build out the top of the lineup through the draft but it's nice to see this kind of solid hockey game.
