Fitz won't roll back same tandem for fear of his job imo once a gm gets like that it's no good.....This offseason start with coach go from there KK entering age where goalies can go on a good roll for a few years ....Money could be better spent elsewhere

How? They have three young goalies who have to play in Utica and Allen as a more accomplished backup here. Five games isn’t enough to carve out a spot unless you move Allen which I’d rather not, or make them the tandem which isn’t exactly ideal for multiple reasons - mainly that neither one of these guys should be a 1A, they’re both 2’s

I remember when CD players were like $1000 bucks and the actual discs were I don't even remember how much. Back when I was a kid and they were just coming out in the mid to late 80s. The poor and middle class folks still had 8 tracks and record players. Cassette players if we were lucky.

Just like in the late 90s when DVD players came out. I went out and bought one and a bunch of DVDs.

If I didn't live with my grandparents I wouldn't have been able to afford such lavish luxuries.

Then like 4 or 5 years later they were as cheap as VHS cassettes and just a few more years after that they stopped making VHS cassettes and players.

To be fair, they kind of always are. We’re a proudly strange bunch and all of our threads meander.

It amuses me when posters from other boards drop in and marvel at how, say, the Seamus Casey thread can bounce around between recipes, philosophical discussions, other sports, book recommendations, current events, stock tips, and a few posts with actual discussion of the prospect.

Now only do we suck even more than we did under Ruff, we are completely unwatchable.

About as exciting as the Seattle Kraken.

The only team that's probably more boring than us under Green is probably Washington, but even they have Ovechkin's second half heater that makes things more exciting.

This is as boring of a Devils team as I've seen since the 14-15 team.

The Flyers would be winning this game right now, probably by multiple goals if they weren't in such a free fall.

That's why I said the other day, I almost can't even see the Flyers beating us, but they did go on to beat the Rangers that night and we've made a habit out of losing to the who's who of the cream of the crap this year.

You can trade Schmid. Kahkonen has nothing with our three young goalies. If you are talking about to going into the season with one young backup - I hope you are not. Because even if we will let Kahkonen, we still need to sign other experienced goalie or trade. Kahkonen was good in SJ. He is good in Devils. He isnt starter but he is quite good backup if Devils will split games between him, Allen and will give some time to Daws/or Schmid. Devils have obvious problems with depth and defense, goalies are not a problem after trade deadline, Saros or Markstrom will not help to play defense or score goals.
I still okay with idea to trade or sign bigger goalie, but it should not ruin our depth. But it doesnt look like they are reasonably cheap in the trade.
