ANd then you have missed half-breakaaways (by Holtz) when he had nothing but a goalie and the puck somehow ended up horizontally to the side of him

so like it’s hard to call a game as inconsequential as this the worst game of the season, but it sure FEELS like the worst game of the season.

The team just has nothing to play for. No one’s working hard to get Clarke his first goal, or get Foote ready to challenge for a spot next year…just going through the motions til they don’t have to do it anymore. If i spent a whole season under some lame duck coaches i’d probably feel the same way.

None of this applies to Nico by the way, a perfect boy who has never done anything wrong.

Travis Green is without any doubt a significantly worse coach than Lindy Ruff. We may well have snuck in the playoffs if we didn’t make the change. The goalies have been more than good enough.

I dont want to exaggerate but may be it was a corner moment for him. I believe if he would score he could get promotion. Now its a brightest thing in the end of his season and the last impression he. made on our management. I would not be surprised if he will be traded.

If we didn't get two garbage wins over Toronto where we were outplayed and their goalie played abysmally, that's two fewer wins right there.

Allen and Kahkonen have stolen a couple of other wins. Well, Kahkonen's only win is the shutout, our only shutout of this bullshit season. Despite having Cory Schneider-like numbers, albeit in a very tiny sample size of games.

That's just more of a testament to how much Green FUBAR'd this team.

One thing I will say.

I don't believe there are Green defenders on here. At least not anymore. Any Green defender on this forum are probably only lurkers.

I remember one right before the Buffalo game, who immediately turned him on after that one.

There was also another poster, who didn't necessarily defend him, but said they believed Green would be head coach next year if Fitz couldn't find a big name.

That was probably several games before the Buffalo disaster.
