One thing I will say.

I don't believe there are Green defenders on here. At least not anymore. Any Green defender on this forum are probably only lurkers.

I remember one right before the Buffalo game, who immediately turned him on after that one.

There was also another poster, who didn't necessarily defend him, but said they believed Green would be head coach next year if Fitz couldn't find a big name.

That was probably several games before the Buffalo disaster.

I believe there is a bigger chance that our "face off watch" coach will have head coach job than Green.

if last season is any indication, the Devils don’t NEED Saros or Markstrom to be competitive. And if the league is any indication, teams don’t need a Saros or Markstrom to win the cup. I’m certain Fitz wouldn’t be comfortable doing it (more like wouldn’t be comfortable admitting he’d be ok doing it) but i’d be fine running these two out next season.

Run them both back but I don't think he will....Always a big supporter of Fitz but after seeing some of trades he was reportedly going to make I have lost trust in him big time....Time will tell ..

yeah it’s hard to justify giving up Mercer/Holtz and then some when Jake Allen can come in and look better than half the goalies on playoff teams

Markstrom should not cost a lot. If he does you slam the phone down and tell Conroy to eat shit. His numbers have not been good since the TDL fiasco and he has a NMC. Then if you offer to take him at 100% of salary plus do the deal before July 1 you would be absorbing a pretty sizable bonus. So yeah you want siegenthaler and a 3rd?
