The plan next season is what this season should have been. Play more of the youngsters. Don't ride washed up vets. Next season begins with firing Lalonde. Bring him back and you're already hurting the future. He's not it.And what's the plan for next year? Hope every player and the system progresses and no regressions anywhere?
Just can't see them moving on from Lalonde, right or wrong to them they are probably gonna see this as a successful season. The plan next season is what this season should have been. The plan wasn't to make the playoffs.
Yeah, I’ll be very surprised if he’s fired.Just can't see them moving on from Lalonde, right or wrong to them they are probably gonna see this as a successful season.
He said we were years away. Curious as to what years meant to some people. Tough close to the season but every year the team improves. Our high end center prospects still not even stepped onto team yet.And that's a loser mentality. At some point, you need to take a major step forward. The end of Year 5 is more than enough time to be back in the playoffs, regardless of what Yerman inherited. Otherwise, what was the point of hiring him?
And that's a major indictment on Yzerman.Yeah, I’ll be very surprised if he’s fired.

Yzerman hired Lalonde though. Admitting mistakes is difficult. Pride gets involved. And that's a major indictment on Yzerman.
He's the ultimate competitor and losing is abhorrent to him. He should consider it a personal insult to have a head coach that routinely goes "well we weren't supposed to be here, our division is so good so we might not be back in a playoff race next year, etc"

I'm not saying I agree with it, saying that the "Yzerplan" wasn't to make the playoffs this year if you listen to what Lalonde and Yzerman say.And that's a loser mentality. Every game he seems to show composure on a few plays, uses his reach and size, holds onto the puck, and makes a smart play out of the d zone.nice board play by Edvinsson there
And that’s the sad part…Rivals trying to out suck each other to make tee times later this monthto be fair the other teams competing with them suck too. also Leafs wont survive the first round and I'd argue the Islanders dont belong either....
