It’s really a shame that no Vancouver fans warned us that Green was not a good coach.

They didn't? I remember at least one coming on here and doing it right after Lindy got fired.

He's probably the second most hated man in Vancouver behind only Mark Messier.

If one time poster Trottier was here, he would argue nobody hated Messier in Vancouver and that Green may actually be the most hated man in Vancouver.

I didn’t think so but that dialogue at the end was downright weird. Bill: “what an honor and pleasure it’s been to work with you Ken and Bryce.”

The most graceless conduct possible from Ken Daneyko. I am ashamed for him. Common decency required him to say something mutual. Would it have been so hard just to be polite?

I could live with Palat Haula as two thirds of a third line but that requires Mercer to get back to being a second line caliber wing and getting smoother top six wing to play with Jack. They also need some guys that can skate AND hit AND play wel defensively and at least smart and safe on offense.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I told everybody that if Ruff is only gonna be fired, replacing him with Green ain't gonna help. It's gonna make us worse.

Green is one of the worst head coaches the league has had in the last decade. He really solidified my point with his stint here.

Green's last 46 games as a head coach in the league he has a 16-27-3 record. That's a worse winning/points percentage than I think we had the year where Jon Gillies was playing games for us.

Lindy needed to go, but he needed to go either for somebody more competent or at the end of the year.

I agree... I was saying the same thing.. it made no sense... then folks were saying it was necessary after the road trip and Fitz had to do it to prevent the chants...

I disagreed... firing Ruff and replacing him with Green at that time was a stupid panic move!!!

1996 they played like they gave a f***. They just couldn't score and sorley missed Pepe. If we had the deserve to win meter then lol.

I honestly think 95-96 and 10-11 were worse and those two first round exits in the late 90s to bottom seeds. But we only had come off a cup win just 3-4 years earlier, so I wasn't gonna be too spoiled.

10-11 was pretty disappointing, but this is easily a top-3 BUST of a season for me.

Yeah, we lost a couple rounds we shouldn't have, like Carolina in 09 and those two in the late 90s against Ottawa and Pittsburgh.

But this season was not enjoyable. The only big game we won was the stadium game. We regressed all the way to a lottery caliber team in the last 21 games.

10-11 really sucked because we just weren't used to no playoffs. Now we're not at all used to playoffs.

I think after that game everyone expected them to be able to go on a little run but they just completely and totally shit the bed in a spectacular way. They'll finish like 10 points out of WC2 and all they have to do was play maybe .650 hockey. The games against San Jose, Columbus, etc are inexcusable. This team just never had a killer instinct... or goaltending... or coaching. I'm glad it's over, this season sucked.

We were on pace for 66 points under the disaster that is Travis Green. Not too far off from 2022. And we didn't even have Jon Gillies on the ice ONCE when Travis Green was here. It's amazing.
