I have not seen the incident, but according to a couple of articles it was a routine and usually harmless check that caused Glemser to fall head first into the boards in an Oberliga game on February 3rd, 2023. This resulted in severe damage to his spine and he spent 10 days in an artificial coma and is still on artificial respiration.
