They made deadline grabs 3 out of the last 4 seasons. Probably opted to sit out last year knowing Landeskog was not coming back.

Only twice has the deadline moves been good enough though. Every other deadline they have been cheap despite icing a contender. That and the abysmal drafting are my only real issues with this management.

Or..maybe stop slurping off Cmac and realize that getting Ryjo in the first place not only forced us to overpay for Walker, but prevented them from getting Tanev.

I always tought the RyJo deal was straight up dumb. However, at the deadline the move was already done and at least they had the balls to realize their mistake and ship his lazy ass elsewhere. Considering the situation I have zero issues with the Walker trade, he could have been better but that happens.
