Challenge Cup

[Nuggets]

So let's say that the IIHF invites teams to a Challeneg Cup and they have two divisions:

Pro (NHL)

Semi-Pro (AHL)

What leagues from Europe and around the world would be in each division?

I don't really follow anything other than KHL and NHL so I have a hard time being teh judge of it.

The AHL is not a semi-pro league.

AHL players get very good salaries! It's a full professional league.
