Columbus isn't giving up either of those guys for an injury prone right shot D. Best they'd give is probably Chinakhov and/or Bean

Ottawa is looking for a RD in exactly this mold.
Anything in particular from Ottawa that works?
We don’t really have any RD which is why we’d want Cernak in the first place.
Guess it depends if it’s more of a way to free up salary or a hockey trade.

Tampa doesn't have any RD either if you haven't noticed. late 1st is not enough+ Tampa doesn't need picks anyway, only roster players.

We don’t have a RD to send back that adds enough value.
Sens fan here and would love Cernak because he'd be our 4th best defender. Would a deal with Chychrun going back the other way work?
I mean RD for RD doesn't make much sense anyway. Tampa lacks scoring depth so if you want a top 4RD, offer a top 6 forward.
Cernak for Batherson could work
Well you asked . Tkachuk is the only guy on your team that we would be interested I'm other than stutter. Top 4 RD cost a premium payment or you don't acquire one. The only other player interested would be stuztel. Not sure but perhaps stutzel+ something else for cernak+Cirelli . Doubt Ottawa wants to trade either player but if you want a top 4 young rd with term you have to give yp something to help the lightning now and the future.

I understand you have to give to get, but both of those offers are ludicrous.
Someone here suggested Batherson for Cernak which seemed fair-ish to me, but no one on the Ottawa board would do it when I asked.
Batherson for Cernak would hurt TBl more than it helps. We need a top 4 defenseman already and Cernak is our only RD. I like Batherson a lot though. I wish we acquired him instead of Jeannot.

It's hard, as I go back and forth on a Cernak trade, because it's clear that he's taken steps back (ex: can't move the puck up the ice as well, caught flat footed a lot, injury prone, little offense), but it's hard to see us being able to effectively replace him if we're trying to be competitive.
