It is f***ing annoying read all that skoda cup etc crap in here.
So clean this thread of all nonsense or lock this.

Supposed this 2006 born being a good age group for Finland
and if it was then where that evaluation was based on.

Seemed kinda mediocre age group behind Helenius, Kiviharju and Hemming.
And where that coach came from?

Once again the coach was some goddamn nobody bozo
without any merits etc hockey achievements and game plans.
Who that idiot was who decided hire Marko Kauppinen that moron should be fired and fast.

Even a jackass sees that we are badly behind of USA, Canada and Sweden
about all basic hockey skills. Finnish hockey association seems like more about
3-4th line grinders and workhorses so why in the hell we are forcing talented juniors to same mold.

Being talented skater or excellent goal-scorer
seems to be a cursing-word in Finnish hockey these days.
If this shit continues any further then it will really comes likely
Finland's only goal in U18 WJC's and U20 WJC's is just to play positions
4-7 or avoiding a relegation.

You morons in liitto have the money so start using it
and get best skating, shooting, goal-scoring, strenght and conditioning coaches
into world to coach our prospects to NHL and winning international tournaments.

If we don't find those coaches in Finland
then bring in some American, Canadian or Swedish coaching group in here and pay them.

WAKE UP idiots in liitto and do something.

My opinion of Finland's 2024 U18 WJC roster.

Player who might play 100 / 100+ NHL games if all goes well.
Konsta Helenius.

Players who might get NHL chance.
Emil Hemming
Tuomas Suoniemi
Aatos Koivu ( just because the name and having father and uncle who both played 1000+ NHL games )
Kim Saarinen ( 6'3 tall goalies are wanted in NHL )

No business to NHL without huge / massive development leaps.
Aron Kiviharju
Petteri Rimpinen
Veeti Väisänen

Good SM liiga / Euro players
rest of the team.

Feels dumb to talk about mens tournament here. I think that some mod accidentally combined this with the mens tournament without properly reading what it was about. Mistakes happen.

There's the men's tournament thread. I think people see the "WC" tag instead of "U18" and assume it's, well, a WC thread instead of U18. Similarly there's been some U18 threads with the WJC tag.

Fix the tags and it should sort itself out.

I know what the right thread is, but some people discuss the mens tournament here because mod combined the mens thread with juniors so they feel like they have to talk both here since thats what mods did.

It's a combination of us getting to have a men's thread without the Swedish semi-troll and that this freeee thread was combined here.

Several of us couldn't see the first thread as the guy who started it is in many, many ignore lists

19 Konsta Helenius, Jukurit Mikkeli
21 Patrik Puistola, Jukurit Mikkeli

79 Oliver Kapanen, KalPa Kuopio
80 Saku Mäenalanen, SCL Tigers, NL
81 Iiro Pakarinen, HIFK Helsinki

Both Kapanen and Helenius in there. Fun! Puistola has looked decent enough.

Rissanen and Kaski are good enough defensemen, but Kaski can't get it together on the national team and Rissanen lacks some tools offensively.
