Rory showing a rare glimpse of that killer instinct that we've seen maybe once or twice over the past decade. Very interesting development heading into Valhalla...
It seems like this has been one of the least eventful on the course seasons in a long time. There’s only one or two good players who are showing up to win each week. Prior years it was definitely more. We aren’t getting many real shootouts with a lot of the top names. Too many runaways or two man runs, sometimes including a top player against a nobody having a career week.

Yeah. There have been 6 signature events so far. The Sentry was down to the wire, but each one since has been a sleeper... Hideki by 3 at Riviera, a Scottie blowout at API, Scottie pulled away at Heritage, and now this past week. Then the Masters was a sleeper too. At least Sawgrass was nice - but that's a full field. And then there was the shortened event at Pebble... that's certainly not helping things on the 'eventful' scale.

The non-signature events have seen three playoffs, plus that Jaegar win which was nearly a six man playoff. Also the Dunlap amateur win. I think they're feeling the shrunken fields in the signature events. Could use a few more mid-tier guys having heaters and competing. LIV has similar depth problems but having one fewer round for guys to pull away tends to keep them closer.
