Team Canada has a few returnees from last year's World Junior Championship squad, a team that ultimately fell a little short of their goal of winning gold.
One of those returnees, forward Ryan Strome of the OHL's Niagara IceDogs, is off to a good start at the 2013 WJC being held in Ufa, Russia.* In Canada's opening game against Germany, Strome scored a goal and added two assists as Canada went on to an easy 9-3 win over the Germans.* The Canadians didn't have it as easy in their second game, but came away with a 6-3 win over Slovakia, including two goals off the stick of Strome.… read more
