I'd like to think Edvinsson in GR just made him a better player.

That's what I tell myself anyways.

I absolutely believe those games in GR helped him, and he wouldn't have looked as good without them; and I bet the organization was correct to run with more experienced guys until he reached this point. We've seen a few mistakes from him, along with the good.

Grand Rapids let him acclimate to the small ice surface, and tall guys tend to take a little longer to reach their peak. This kid's only 21 years and a couple of months -- sky is the limit for him.

Maybe they could have brought him up 10 games sooner, and maybe we win one or two of those lost games because of him. Maybe. But maybe he also makes a couple of mistakes in games we won and we would have lost those.
