Had the puck on his stick at a bad angle with less than 20 seconds left, couldn't find a hole to sneak it through. Going to OT in game 7 now, the sixth time in this series.

How is Portland compared to Saskatoon?

I think they're as strong as the Blades, perhaps a smidge beetter. We'll get to see Danielson in his element - he's Portland's top pivot and leading scorer. Spunar is better than Unger IMO if looking at the contest in net. And Portland plays a smart game top to bottom. In college terms, kind of like the old St. Cloud teams under Motzko where people seem to know their role and play it if I can smash comparisons together badly. :biglaugh:

The one place the Warriors have a big advantage IMO is Mateychuk vs. any of the Winterhawks defensemen. He's so good. The only downside could be how much he's played and that in the last few games he's looking fatigued.

Does he have a higher ceiling then Noah Ostlund ?

Exciting times ahead non the less
Yes, for sure. Different styles, but Savoie definitely has top line NHL potential. No question.

There's a reason he was considered a top 1-2 pick for 2022 in 2020. He does everything well. He has elite speed, a pro shot, can pass, can defend, will battle and go to the net, and is money on faceoffs.

He fell to 9th (like Benson) because the NHL is having a big size comeback (and the playoffs are furthering that).

The difference with Savoie and Benson, is they aren't perimeter players.
