If McDavid wants to take cheap slashes after the game he should expect to be roughed up.
His constant whining to the refs is embarrassing. Just play hockey like the other stars.
Didn't the Canucks all cry about the officiating after game 2 including tocchet? Stop acting like your team is on some pedestal lol the Canucks do their fair share of whining and diving. Literally every team in the league complains about officiating it is what it is in this league. Its been terrible on the entire series, missed calls on both sides.
The one who should be getting suspended is Zadorov, McDavid deserved a shot back from Soucy for that slash. If zadorov didn't two hand plow him from behind Soucy wouldn't have cross checked him in the face. Zero issue with what Carson did, Zadorov made the dangerous play and got a slap on the wrist for it for some reason. They are looking at the wrong guy but whatever.

A slash ti shin pad is nothing..he got one back right after.... crosscheck to face is not normal and should call for a suspension..
If this doesn't get Emdonton going in game 4 then nothing will.
You need a freaking goalie and a bottom 9 to get going. Playing your stars 30 minutes a night just shows how bad your depth is. BTW you are hearing it from someone who doesn’t have a dog in the fight

The clip above is so disingenuous, leaves out the slashing beforehand.

This is the full clip:

Ok, so McD gave him a harmless “f*** you” swat that happens 10 times a game and Soucy returned favor. I don’t love that crap, but neither is really winding up or aiming for vulnerable spots, no biggie. Then Soucy crosschecks him in the face.

So thanks for the context, but it doesn’t really change anything.

Well look at that. A player being disciplined for being a dirtbag. Who would have thought that could actually happen?!

I think Oiler fans know as well as anyone else that we need some depth scoring and a couple of saves here. With average goaltending, this series could be 3 - 0 Edmonton right now.

in ur crease
As annoying as it would be to get crosschecked in the mouth and loose teeth. The crosscheck in the lower back is pretty dangerous , up there with the neck

All the outrage over an altercation that McDavid instantly got up from / wasn’t even close to being injured on tells me Oilers and their fans feel like the refs gifting them powerplays won’t be enough to help them win and have escalated to thinking the NHL to remove players they don’t like from the opposition roster is their only chance of winning.

Two can play that game. With Demko and no Cole, the series could be 3-0 Vancouver.
I mean absent an overtime loss that would also be the case.
That’s playoff hockey. Two evenly matched teams in a hard fought series each trying to take advantage of the others weaknesses.

A vast majority of hits happen when you are trying to separate a player from the puck. When they have possession. The Canucks threw more hits, because the Oilers had the puck more.
The Canucks threw more hits because they’re a more physically punishing team especially on D. The Oilers have no answer to that. Kane and Perry are a waste.
The rest is just excuses.

And the eastern media. The main reason western Canada hates the Leafs.

Happens all the time.

The “wind up” is because he’s extremely off balance which incidentally significantly reduces the impact of the blow.

Lol. These type of slashes definitely happen dozens of times a game. Players getting pushed and off balance causing massive wind up slashes happen dozens of times a game. That’s right. Not only in game, but also after the game has ended. Just a routine hockey play. Nothing to see here.

Mcwhiner whacks Hughes in the face with his stick(no call), Nurse runs Pettersson into the boards head first(no call), Edmonton spearing( no call) and no hearings or fines. Kane slew footing all over the ice(no calls).NHL should try harder to hide their extreme bias. Have
the refs been instructed to do everything
possible to ensure an Edmonton win.
Hyman got whacked in the face earlier in the same game with no call. Petersson turned into the hit to make it look like it was a hit from behind. He needs to not make that turn when the hit is already coming. Myers delivered a way more severe hit from behind to Janmark that same game and it wasn't called either. Edmonton's spearing? Do you mean Ryan's slash to the junk, which was called? That wasn't a spear, it was a slash. I hate that he did it, but he was called for it. The referees aren't calling anything in favour of the Oilers. They're doing what Tocchet begged the league to do before the series started - they aren't calling penalties.

You realize that using IFs won’t cut it. Canucks fans can use the IF Demko was playing the series would be 3-0,. IFs have nothing to do with reality of the situation

There is a reason for that everyone knows Oilers whole game plan is draw penalties. Besides the PP they really have nothing weak goaltending, weak D after Ekholm and Bouchard, and no depth behind McDrai and Hyman. Playing your 2 stars and Bouchard 30 minutes a game shows that. Everyone including you has to realize if penalties not called against their opponents Oilers chances to win go down dramatically. Why wouldn't the opposition coach talk about them trying to sell calls every chance?

Dude, that was such a light tap, it wasn't anything. Soucy didn't slash McDavid back because it hurt, he did it because he got slashed first.
