John Scott is John Scott. Maroon was legitimately on the ice and skating in a circle or something wouldn't change that. I really don't see any danger here.

agree but I guess I wasnt paying that much attention to it, and it didnt seem blatant....I could be wrong though.

"Our PP is lost without Theodore"... Guess his shot doesn't factor in.

lost without Theo and Vatanen. Is there some rule that a team can only have 1 player with a dangerous shot I don't know about? Where are we if there's an injury?

Furthermore, I love Theo, but he can't match Sami's one-timer, as far as I know.

I think it's happened to a few other guys as well, where they legitimately were sent on but bee-lined it to fight and were suspended. I know it happened to a Ducks player in preseason, one of those former Oiler fourth liners. But, yeah, they've definitely shown issue with guys going straight from the bench to a fight. Maroon not being a goon might save him a game or two, but if they see it that way, I'd think good chance he gets suspended. They might not see it that way, though.
Staubitz, I think.

Yeah...if. No real reason to here.

if only getzlaf could eliminate the stupid turnovers.....his production is starting to go back to normal levels. he had 2 assists but he essentially had a 3rd when he sprung stewart for the breakaway, and he also almost sprung cogs which drew a penalty instead....

it would be cool for pretty ricky to get to 20 goals

You're completely ignoring the "what if Lindholm gets injured" thing.

You're planning on making a trade during the playoffs how, exactly? 1-2 weeks is long term enough at that time of year.

If we lose Lindholm in the playoffs, it's most likely over.

Just finished watching the game. Freddie is just a better goalie than Gibson. Of course a lot can and will happen before we have to make a decision on his future but... as of today if we had to choose which guy we should keep going forward, I'd go with Freddie pretty easily.

Good win, Flyers had nothing going until Anaheim tired out late in the game on the backend of a b2b. Flyers suck, Phillies suck...**** Philly

Also I'm glad to see another thread being sucked into the Fowler debate vortex . Might be time for a dedicated Fowler thread at this rate with one person in it.

Using one of my lines, nice. Can't argue that.

Sure, I can let him finish out the year. Doesn't have to be now.

Fowler has got to put points on the board.

So what do you think about Hampus? You know, the guy that only has 2 more points in 12 more games. Should we trade him because he's about to get a huge contract and doesn't produce offensively.

I was about to post something about this. It's every thread with the same arguments over and over. Gets really tiresome. Maybe a dedicated thread is a good idea.

Maybe a "Trade Fowler?" thread or "What did Fowler do wrong this game?" thread?

Just giving my share to Fowler discussion:

IIRC Bruce called Fowler their best defenceman this season when we were waiting him to return.

Fowler plays on the first PP unit and more time on the PP. That's where defencemen get most of their points.

Because it was blatantly obvious that he was to that point. Hampus picked his game up in a big way while Cam was out. Can't say I get the reasoning behind wanting only one really good defenseman at any given time. It's not like there's a quota.

It was when Cam was already skating and was very close coming back. Bruce had seen Hampus excelling then.

I agree with the amount of real good defensemen, ha. Nieds-Prongs is a good example of that.

Having both is ideal, but what makes a great PP is a great PP QB. Vatanen is a weapon on the PP, but he's not a QB like Theo.

I'd be much more worried about an injury if Fowler was gone than Vatanen.

he's just finding another reason to downplay Fowler. He's fully admitted he's biased against him.

Fowler would have gotten an assist on the first PP goal if it didn't graze Perry. Fowler set up Vatanen perfectly for a great one timer by Sami that grazed Perry before Rakell scooped it up and put it in. He didn't show up on the scoreboard but he assisted on that goal more than Perry did.

This is what started the argument. It was just a routine pass, but made to look like it was something dynamic and irreplaceable. It's classic pro cam bias posting. He's murdered the last 10pp's but now we should give pause to removing him because of his pass to Sami. :amazed:

Now we're crediting him for 3rd assists. This is a whole new territory.

Even though Maroon didn't show up in the score sheet I thought he had a good game and an even better fight which is nice for him to show up his former team. What did we trade for him again?

Apparently we got Maroon and David Laliberte for Robert Borson and Danny Syvret. The other three can't crack an NHL lineup - I'd say we made out pretty well.
