If Hache did what the article said then he will get what’s coming to him. After the poor display by a lot of Saginaw players this series I hope they go 0-3 at the Memorial Cup.

How can the officials give Sim a penalty if they didn’t hear it. If that’s the case, players would be making stuff up all the time to get players kicked out.

I bet that word is used 20 times in a game and nothing happens. This is very poor optics for the OHL and calls into question the decisions they make.

Part of it may or may not be true. This is coming from Simpson via Sim - a 19 year old kid. We’ll probably never know the real truth but Sawyer is back for game 1 so all is good.

Taking both at their word.......
An official had to have heard Sim to make the call is my guess.
Also a guess is they didn't hear Hache statement if he made one to get Sim to respond. As usual I dunno lol.
It's over n done with and hopefully LK can play long enough to get both Sim/KL back.

Saginaw defeated London 3 out of 5 times in their building this season. In all those wins, Saginaw scored at least 6 goals.

For you conspiracy theorists:

Powerplay opportunities were 28-16 in favour of Saginaw this series. Total games missed due to suspension in this series were 8-4 in favour of London with 8 total games remaining to be served for London and 0 for Saginaw. Do with that what you will.

Looking at the bud gardens schedule, maybe Game 1 Thursday and Game 2 Saturday? The bud is booked, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday this week. So unless they do a back to back, I think that makes the most sense?

Unless the player is your boss's son. Gauging from his interview after their series loss, my guess is Sim was pretty darn close in his commented discription of Hache

It was said in the LFP Sim bumped into a Saginaw player in warm up and the altercation later in the game played a role in Sim. I also heard hache threatened to take out Sims hip that's why Sim called him the name he did....

You must of been, I read all comments, never seen one stating the Knights will play in the Memorail Cup tourney, for certain, where is this comment?

Not sure if it is simply because they have great confidence in winning the faceoff but I love the way the Knights have full approval to shoot for the empty net from our own zone. I would say 50% of the time it is successful and it’s clear coaching is saying “go for It”. It’s so obvious may have teams thinking twice about when they pull the goalie and it’s always a positive when they have the competitor thinking and perhaps changing there game plan!

When we went up 3-1 and Oshawa was up 3-1 it looked like one of my more favourite Knights Mr Rolloff would be back in town. Always loved the kids perseverance and work ethic but now it's kinda up in the air? Will it be the Gens or the Battalion we face? I think Oshawa will "right" the ship in Game 7 at home but wow North Bay does not quit do they?

Heard Analytics have helped drive this also on 690 TSN radio show. Pro teams fire away in hopes of an EN goal and are willing to take the DZone draw if missed. It's trickled down.
But ya it's coached to them to go for it for sure.
Totally different mindset set than 15 years ago for sure.
I appreciate analytics, on a surface level, as I've never taken the time or had the energy lol to dig deep.
LK does stay on or ahead the curve seemingly.

The Knights wanted to add context to the circumstances surrounding Landon Sim’s five-game suspension for using a word to imply Saginaw captain Braden Hache was a ‘soft’ player in the second period of Game 5 Friday.

OHL commissioner David Branch said Saturday Sim’s comment contravened the league’s diversity, maltreatment and bullying policy. However, London contends the Blues prospect was spurred by a Hache threat that went unpunished by the league.

“Hache said to Landon Sim that he was going to injure his shoulder and there’s history on that there,” Knights associate GM Rob Simpson said. “The last time Landon hurt his shoulder, it was Hache who actually hit him. He went to him and said I’m going to injure your shoulder again. Landon came back and said a word he shouldn’t have – implying (Hache) is soft and you’re not going to do that.”

The Knights contend Hache, whose father Conrad is the OHL’s referee-in-chief, went over to one of the officials and started talking to him right away about the incident.

“That’s how that unfolded,” Simpson said. “There was nothing racial (or homophobic) said. The word is part of the (OHL’s) policy and it gets said on the ice consistently and unfortunately. You have one player saying he’s going to attempt to injure another player and the other one using a word he shouldn’t that implies (Hache) is soft.

Knights were 42% at the dot and lost most D zone face offs. If they had confidence, it was misguided because they were terrible the whole series.

Knights aren’t out of the woods yet in regards to Papa Hache.

He’s going to be pissed the Knights beat out his boy and he won’t want them facing off in the Memorial Cup.

I’m betting PPs are 8-2 for whoever the Knights play in the final in Game 1 😂
