Another race manipulation happened at Miami:

Suspended: Scott Eggelston and Kenneth Davis for their involvement in manipulating the results at Miami to get the 27 entry the final points position for a non-charter team;

the 15 and 27 teams run by Jay Robinson/Premium Motorsports were docked 50 owner points, and fined 50K; IT gives Gaunt Brothers Racing (the 96) the final points position for a non-chartered team;

the Spire Motorsports 77, and Rick Ware Racing's 52 ALSO were docked 50 points and fined for their involvement in the manipulation of the race results;

Ford killing the factory GT program did Chip in it looks like. It's a loss for that series, not having Chip, regardless of everyone's opinion on the guy.

Thanks to Monster Energy for its sponsorship over the last several seasons for the Cup Series; however as part of Champions' Week in Nashville, the new modern day NASCAR will roar into the 2nd decade of the 21st century as simply the NASCAR Cup Series BEGINNING in 2020, WITH rotation partners GEICO, Anheuser Busch In Bev, through its Busch branding; Comcast/XFINITY AND Coca-Cola;

existing sponsorships that the above 4 "Premiere Partners" have will continue uninterrupted(don't precisely know how AB In Bev WILL treat SHR going forward as Busch is a team sponsor) but Busch is expected to sponsor a race TBD; Coca Cola will be the title sponsor of the Regular Season Championship trophy and Comcast/XFINITY takes a foray into track/race sponsorship with Martinsville in November

ALSO, a heads up as we head toward 2020;

the All Star Race, held annually in Charlotte, except for Atlanta in its 2nd year, will not have a title sponsor, in keeping with the theme of the day, after originally being known as the Winston
