Lol per the documentary, most of the disrespect that drove Jordan was stuff he imagined.

That’s why he was in a world of his own, because it was literal.

Yes, but when it actually happened? I saw a video on YouTube once where there was almost a fistfight in the opposing team's locker room. One of the guys had chirped Jordan, the other guy was the one guarding him. GOAT

Love him, but I can’t help but be let down by TK this last 5 game stretch… but if you look at his points and points alone, it’s not that bad over the last 30 days.

Farabee… just a disappointment.

We all know how this is going to end:
A loss in regulation to Montreal
A “gutsy” loss in OT to the Rags
A win against the Devils
A win against the Caps

88 points, 10th in the east and picking 14th. Management will crow about the amazing job Torts did in nearly getting this team into the playoffs while losing Hart and dealing Walker.

TK will be re-signed for too many years at too high an aav, Laughton won’t be dealt and the only coaching change will be replacing Rocky as pp coach with someone probably already in the organization.

They will go on to finish with 80 something points next year and the cycle will continue. Why? I’m pretty sure it’s because we’re all dead and in hell. We just haven’t realized it yet.

This is also a good point beyond the roster construction path the Flyers are headed down without picking high in the draft. Tortorella also limits those chances of getting the most out of a potential star player if you were to land one as well.

The funniest thing to happen when he was hired was people claiming he's actually an offensively minded coach

And people will be ecstatic about a bad team hitting their absolute ceiling of "average."

And it should be noted that if you're one or two injuries away from being bad instead of average, then that team has no depth and is going nowhere anyway

If this collapse tells us anything...its that the hope that this can be turned around with TK and Laughton being a key part was just that...hope.

There are some nice players here...but they still lack a true future 1C and 1D. They cant keep prioritizing players that round out a contender without gettimg the foundational pieces. Id love to have TK as the 3rd or 4th best forward on a contending Flyers team...but they dont have those top guys. The assets they can get by trading TK and laughton can help them get those guys...it is just too important.

As is blatantly obvious, they need a 1C, which in a couple of years would represent a decent top 9.

Farabee - 1C - Michkov
Tippett - Frost - Konecny
Foerster/Cates - Couturier - Brink
Anyone but Deslauriers - Poehling - Lycksell

That, of course, depends on several things, the biggest of which is when Michkov comes over, but also whether Couturier can bounce back and regain 2C form.

Similarly, their top 4 D looks somewhat promising if they can bring in a 1D, although another 3 years of now injury-plagued Ristolainen is an anchor.

1D - Sanheim
York - Drysdale
Zamula/Seeler/Andrae - Attard/Ristolainen

So all they have to do for a competitive line-up is fill the two most difficult positions with mid-level picks. No problem.
