The Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament will take place beginning March 3-5 with three best-of-three quarterfinal series played on the campus of the higher seed. The single-elimination semifinal games will be played March 11 at the two highest-remaining seeds, with the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game slated for March 18, also at the highest-remaining seed. Two of the tournament quarterfinal series will be streamed live on B1G+, with the third (Michigan State-Notre Dame) televised on FS2 and the FOX Sports App. The semifinals and championship game will be televised live on BTN and the FOX Sports App.

• The Holy Cross Crusaders overcame a Game #1 loss with a Saturday victory (4-3 reg time) & a Sunday QF clincher (4-3 in OT) over the defending AHA three-peat post-season champs American International Yellow Jackets.
• After the Canisius Golden Griffins took a 1-0 series lead on Friday, they traded shutouts on Saturday (0-1 overtime loss) & Sunday (3-1 final) to eliminate the Army West Point Black Knights.

#11 seed Vermont upset host #6 Maine with a 4-2 Hockey East first round victory [RECAP]. ME was up 2-1 early in the third, but VT regrouped & the game winner was an own-goal by a Black Bears defender on a centering pass from behind the net by Catamount sophomore forward Isak Walther on a power play. The ENG on a last-minute penalty kill was just the non-icing on the Cats' cake, to send them to the HEA Quarterfinals. ETA: The Catamounts will face the #1 seed Boston University Terriers.
On a blind redirect by senior forward Jamie Engelbert early in OT, the #7 Providence Friars defeated the #10 UNH Wildcats 2-1 [RECAP]. The Friars will now move on to Saturday's Quarterfinals round. ETA: Providence will play the #3 Northeastern Huskies.
#8 Boston College handed #9 seed & 2021 national champions UMass a 5-2 loss [RECAP] to advance the Eagles to the QF round on Saturday. The eventual GWG was scored by BC freshman forward Andre Gasseau late in the first period, and junior forward Nikita Nesterenko scored twice after that to make sure the victory was theirs. ETA: (correction) BC will next face the #2 Merrimack Warriors.

we in Hockey East have our own independent fanbases tracking the Conference, no worries, I knew what u meant because Boston prospect Andre Gasseau is playing in the conference.... also, the Vermont/Maine game got coverage locally up here as well despite the upset loss;
