Holy floodgates Batman! Love the Elkhom clapper of course Brown strikes again.

I chose wisely. He’s not putting up much of a fight.

I would go

Drai-McDavid-Hyman
Kane-Nuge-Henrique
Foegele-McLeod-Perry
Janmark-Carrick-Brown

Holloway over Janmark eventually

Ekholm-Bouchard
Nurse-Stecher
Kulak-Desharnais
Mcleod- McDavid -Hyman
Foegele- Draisaitl - Kane
Janmark- Nuge -Perry
Carrick Henrique. Brown
all 4 lines can produce

Yeah. Us likely losing Bouchard happened way before, when we prioritized Tyson Barrie over development of a better internal youngster.
That was so far before, that there are 300x ways to free up money for Bouchard since then. And it’s not even a fait accompli he won’t be signed, anyways.

Are we playing the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon , hockey contracts version?

What? Barrie was a great place holder / mentor for a young D-man like Bouchard. When the Oilers were sure Bouchard could take over the responsibilities they dumped Barrie. Now he’s phenomenal.

Really? I don’t agree. I thought Buffalo didn’t get very many good chances at all. Most of the goals against including the disallowed one were just ugly.
Disagree.
That was as sloppy a 1st period as they have played in a while.
Even Ekholm said as much after the game. He said the team had a 'conversation' in between the first and second periods.

As they should have, but they very much took over and didn't look back.

It's good the start isn't lost on them even though they scored 8 and won going away.
100%
I'm seriously hoping that they can put together a complete game tomorrow.
I would like nothing better than to see them absolutely shit stomp the Leafs in their own building on HNIC.

Yah they were definitely not on their A+ game but they weren’t giving up a bunch of chances.

Henrique at 4C is a huge waste, and Nuge deserves a better linemate. If you want to run that setup, you swap Henrique and Janmark.

But ideally I'd try this, see if Henrique is a fit higher up:

Henrique-McDavid-Hyman
Nuge-Draisaitl-Foegele
Kane-McLeod-Brown
Janmark-Carrick-Perry

Some posters argued that barrie was better than ekholm at 5on5 also.

it was laughable watching some posters argue that he wouldnt make a difference.

I like that ratio.

Except I’m still asking my daughters to drive by city hall and report back when the tighty whities are flying over the pyramids. No sightings lately.

I would not have mentioned you have daughters here. @Cloned will never leave you alone now. I have so many dating applications from him to date my daughter that I needed to build an extension onto the house just to file them all.
