Puljujarvi, Bouchard and Yamamoto played around 50 games there, McLeod and Bear played around 80-90.

The Oilers issues are more due to shitty drafting and rushing prospects rather than their AHL coaches.

Oh I know...I just find it funny to see people attributing the Oilers entire developmental success or failure down to a guy whose been the assistant coach for the last 7 years.

I mean is it his fault that 2014 6th round pick, Tyler Vesel, didn't cut it in Bakersfield?

Assistant coach in Bakersfield the last 6 years, prior to that he coached in the Q for 5 years as a head coach.

Does the head coach in Laval also have to be French?

He's a 6th round pick from the Philadelphia Flyers in 2015.

These players are huge longshots to ever make the NHL.

Framing it that JF Houle is somehow responsible for him not having reached the NHL at this point is odd.
