If he was still feeling bad that wouldn't let him skate, if he was still sick they wouldn't let him skate with teammates? Hopefully a week down there and back up!

I don't think Meier will be up until at least after this road trip. Probably longer unless we get hit with injuries or if we don't play well and that 3rd line gets exposed (Pittsburgh game)

At least a few games for sure. Probably start with 4th line minutes and gradually build up

Thanks, i hope he's not rushed. Get him healthy, get him up to game speed, get him
in a game.

I'd rather have him play in the AHL, not sit in the press box in the NHL.

I think he can. He's gonna be one of those two way guys at best. We will see though. Tierney shot out of nowhere too.

Except Tierney was 20 and Carpenter is 25.

Carpenter is going to get claimed as soon as he's out of waiver-ineligiblily and someone's going to have a real player, but not the Sharks. He'll never get a real shot here.

True. I commented elsewhere that he just had the misfortune of trying to break in to one of our deepest teams.

But imo wingels nieto and karlsson aren't exactly coaches pets. So if he gets to play he has a shot to overtake one of those guys.
