Barring some ridiculous ask he should be a priority resign.

It’ll also depend on the thoughts of the brass, pro scouts and coaching. Did they see him as a big bodied dman with more upside in the right situation rather than a finished product?

I believe Flames fans were saying he was seeking 5x5 before the trade, but who knows if that number has gone up since then.

From a realistic perspective, giving that kind of contract to a 29 year old who through his career has averaged 17:00-18:30 TOI/G in most seasons isn't great.
This season on the Canucks he averaged 17:04 in the regular season. And even though he's getting 20 mins a night in the playoffs, it's probably a bad idea to give someone a big contract based on one playoff performance.

Is his size and physical presence needed on the Canucks? Yes.
Is it worth 5M/year with a cap crunch coming up? Ehhh...

Crow says he's playing like a top 4 D Man
the numbers indicates that too. His TOI in the playoffs are:

Edm: 18:00
Nsh: 20:27
Nsh: 21:10
Nsh: 22:31
Nsh: 20:46
Nsh: 17:47
Nsh: 19:21

Looks like his minutes went up quite a bit later on in the Nashville series so maybe coaching is trying to mange icetime early on so they can ramp it up later on in the series.

He's a 5/6 - according to every reporter on 650 (other than drance) lol
5 million for 6 years? thats what you pay for how he performs in post season. Regular season he plays more like a borderline #4. its a tough call.

I didn’t realize how much he’s bounced around in his career. He seems to love playing here and seems to mesh well with our core and Tocchet even said that he’s been able to make him crack up and laugh. Perhaps if we offered him term and a NTC we could bring him back for slightly less. I don’t like handing out a bunch of NTCs like Benning was prone to, but for a guy that might want the security of laying down roots in a city for more than a couple of years it might be worth it.

there's always one guy who outperforms himself in the playoffs and get more money then he deserves, although in Zadorovs I don't think that will be an issue he has been solid for the entire season with us and id be willing to take that risk and he is tall and physical enough if we wanted to trade him we could, the only thing id make sure of is we don't give him a full NTC.

the Nhlpa already told the members that the cap will go up 4% for next season and 4% the season after so it’s safe to assume the cap will be 95min in 3 years. Any contract with term will be fine as long as it’s not something stupid like 8x6M
