Gotta move him this offseason while we can. He is the right age and will have some value. I'm sure his agent will make it tough and list the obvious teams on his NTC list.

There isn't a GM in hockey who wouldn't view a 60 pt. complimentary forward in his prime at 4.75 as excellent value in cap system.

Correct. Move him before he becomes a 30-40 point guy. Ideally package him with Ullmark but he might block that. Hes brutal in the playoffs and couldn't break through as a first liner this year.

Excellent. He should be outstanding value in a trade for someone who has a pulse when the postseason rolls around

I don't care about some "post-season pulse" or whatever that means. But if they want to move on from him there will be plenty of suitors.

it means someone that shows some life. Zacha is about to set the record among for most playoff minutes by a forward without scoring their first goal.

Who cares what he does on the regular season if he falls flat on his face in the postseason?

Much like Coyle, Zacha is a middle six forward who has been asked to play above his effectiveness level. They were able to get away with this during the regular season where you see a different team almost every game. But the playoffs are about matchups, man to man coverage, and opponents making adjustments ... true first line players will have the advantage at shutting down, limiting middle six players on the average.

Zacha, is very serviceable as a middle six forward at a reasonable cap hit. Any trade involving Zacha would have to improve the team, such part of a package for a true number 1 center, not just rearrange the deck chairs.
Noone is giving up a 1 C for this guy. Just don't lose the trade. Part of the problem with the modern NHL and especially the Bruins is middle of the pack players hang around too long. Gryzlyk for example is 30 and has only been in one system. Zacha will benefit as well from a new team.

I'm not arguing with you, but just for clarity sake I did say that he could be included as part of a package for a number one.

there is a #1 center in Vancouver that needs a contract next season and all he costs is dollars! Zacha, Coyle, and Geekie although likeable are where awesome scoring chances to go die!

No idea why they moved him to wing. He's always been better at C and that's where he got most of his minutes all year.

He was being spanked on the Faceoffs and coverage down low. They are trying to mitigate the damage he does by not showing up in the playoffs. Him on LW gives them a chance if he decides to score one day.
