When the Federation BOGs announced their $25M+ cash infusion in Jan. 2022 (which funded the salary cap increase among other business initiatives), they also announced intentions to add Montreal (now the Force) AND an unspecified U.S. based franchise. At this level of ice hockey in North America, the subsequent dead silence on the latter team addition usually means a deal fell through. So I'd expect to see Calgary ice a team before we see another PHF team added from "Lower Canada."
So much for that.New money is flowing out in the PHF. Let's hope they can balance that with new revenues.
