If the price is right, Miller here would be a god send. Don't kid yourselves.
I can think of 6,250,000 reasons why I wouldn't want him in Tampa. That cap hit next year is ridiculous.
Yzerman has put his faith in and invested in Lindback. I don't think it's Yzerman's thing to acquire a goalie who he hopes to be a starter, and tells him such, and then tell him, sorry, we're going in a different direction.
Plus, Miller is a prima donna to the media, something I don't think Yzerman would like.
And he's overrated. I'm not saying he's a bad goalie, he's good. He's just criminally overrated.
Buffalo could retain some of it. And we have money coming off the books.
It's one year it's not a cap killing contract. There is plenty of room for it if Yzerman is smart.
What I get from this thread is everyone is perfectly fine with craptastic goaltending for the foreseeable future.
Would Miller be a great goalie behind our D? Who/which picks we'd have to give up would be the rub for me. The cap hit is manageable if more than what I think he's worth.
I think we could handle Connolly and a 2nd or 3rd. That's what I would give.
I wouldn't. But I'm not a GM. I think Connolly is a top 6 winger for the Bolts next year.
Maybe, but I see the Goalie position as more of an issue than top 6 wingers now and for the foreseeable future.
