Stuart Skinner worst playoff sv% since Cloutier.

I'm well aware of how back Nurse and Ceci have been. But Skinner has been historically bad in his playoff career and that's what this thread is about.

Ken Holland signed Campbell to a five year deal, before the first season was done they refused to let him play in the playoffs.

20 games in to his second season he played his last game as an oiler.

That is not on the defense.

Sure, but Skinner is facing some of the lowest high danger and expected goals against so far in these playoffs and he has some of the worst stats. Its fun to blame it all on defence why their goaltending is bad, but the Oilers don't actually give up as much as people are trying to claim they do. In past years they did, but this year has been the best defensive season they've rolled out in the McDavid era and somehow Skinner can't even give them league average goaltending. He's inconsistent and he wilts in pressure games. He's a fraud.

Rewatch the game last night. The Oilers D and McDavid leave Boeser in front all by himself. And same thing on Lindholm. Not all high danger chances are equal.

Yeah I saw that just like I saw Draisaitl get 2 breakaways, and Desharnais get the exact same amout of time all alone to pick his spot from the slot. The difference is Silovs stoned Drai, got bailed out by his post on the other, and got enough of Desharnais' shot for Hughes to stop Ryan from poking it in behind him. Difference? Yeah Silovs got a piece of those shots or forced a perfect shot. Skinner did neither on either of those chances. You guys need to stop with this "did you see the chances they gave up" garbage. Every team gives up numerous chances like that every series.

I don’t know that you get to use Skinner’s play as that much of an excuse when you have a whole other goalie in year 2 of a 5x5 contract and Skinner is the better option.

If McDavid and Draisaitl could score more in the regular season, they would be winning more games, other teams would be forced to shoot more, inflating Skinner's numbers and get him a Vezina!

Look at the PDO fraud Canucks! They get leads and then turtle and let their goalies pad their stats!

Every fanbase needs a scapegoat when their team loses and the goalie and coach are the two easiest targets.
Has Skinner been terrible? Yes.
But he’s not the only one.
How’s the Oilers vaunted additional depth doing?
How about Ceci-Nurse?
Even McDavid who feasted on LA had zero shots in the first game and no points in the third game despite playing half the game.
