He is a 3rd liner. Atrocious.Am i missing something? In the sharangovich thread is full of proposals around early 2nd/late 1st value. Is this dude not just a 3rd liner?
Had a sense he wasn’t going to have the value we thought he had.
Personally I’d take it.
Im coming around it a bit more, teams prob arent buying into hes career yr at 31 when hes a career 40/50 ts guyHe is a 3rd liner. Atrocious.
Meh. He was decent a couple yrs ago. Worst case it fails. I don’t mind taking a chance considering tofolli is a pending ufa next yr.Guy was healthy scratched for 9 out of their 12 play off games wasnt he?
Conroy didn’t make the first tradeSo in Feb 2022 the Flames basically traded a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick/prospect (Heineman), and a 5th round pick for Toffoli. In June 2023 we traded him away for a 3rd round pick and a 5th round pick/prospect (Sharangovich).
I think someone got fleeced.
Sharangovich is better than a 5th come on now, hes ppg is pretty similar to toffolis before this magical yr at 31So in Feb 2022 the Flames basically traded a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick/prospect (Heineman), and a 5th round pick for Toffoli. I don't hate it as much as some. Yegor is decent. He's not amazing, but he's a 25 year old third liner, at least he's a good age. We knew that at least some of these trades weren't going to be strictly futures.
I'm guessing Toffoli was mostly getting offers of a 2nd, and it's really not a big deal to take a young top 9 forward and a 3rd instead tbh
People haven't realized that when he was producing at a 40-50 point pace he was playing big minutes with a guy turning into a star.As long as we get a Jack Hughes level player to play with Sharaganovich, he should be good for 0.5PPG, possibly better
Because jack hughes was so good when he had 31pts in 56 games during sharangovich's first yr and missed 32 the next yr? Mustve been carried am i rightAs long as we get a Jack Hughes level player to play with Sharaganovich, he should be good for 0.5PPG, possibly better
But he wasnt a star then, in yr 2 yes but not in availabilityPeople haven't realized that when he was producing at a 40-50 point pace he was playing big minutes with a guy turning into a star.
