Yeah, news about team rosters start to filter out. It indeed looks like catastrophe of not having a national competition is avoided. :handclap:

It seems that HC Kremenchuk is the only Uke team out there that has their act together and is playing games. Too bad they're in the Belarusian league, good grief.

Well it's not great or ideal, but at least there will be a Ukrainian championship this year. Let's hope they can build on this, and grow this into a stable league. Ukraine needs something like this to develop it's future national team players.

Go Vinnitsa!!

One of the leagues relative superstars Dmitri Gnitko supposedly moves to Spain... Well that's a blow for Lviv.

Good player. Played for serbian champion Partizan Belgrade few years ago. Watch him as back then croatian and serbian clubs played "Panonian" league. He has thin nerves...

Go Vinnitsa!!

that's the thing, we had a "stable" league with the PHL in its first season what with donbass-2 and name-players actually leaving belarus/russia to play in ukraine, then the second season things got shaky with the berkut debacle

now we're back to amateur bush league, everything that was built up has entirely regressed

Any of my Ukrainian friends know what's going on with the team in Vinnitsa? They recently had two of their games postponed and now today it looks like they forfeited a game. This a money thing?

Something to do with the EuroMaidan the protests, since the game against Lviv was being held in Kyiv

With Svoboda backing the team, maybe it was politically related?

Reason of absence Gaidamakov Kiev Vinnitsa club head Valery Lukyanets explained worrying situation in the capital, as well as the fact that on the eve of his team sent a letter to the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine with a request to postpone the games at a later date.

According to the TV channel "XSPORT", rematch "Lions" - "Gaydamak" (28 November), also in jeopardy.

They plan on playing in Ukrainian league. There might be as many as 8 teams in the tournament if every wannabe will be able to put a roster together.

Donbass Donetsk will play in the Ukrainian league this season. Earlier team president Boris Kolesnikov offered Hockey Federation of Ukraine to spend the national championship only to players under 21 years and only at this condition guaranteed participation Donbass in this one. Federation this crazy idea ignored.
But sober sence won and Donbass in. Already signed contracts with 10 players( 1/3/6),
all of them are Ukrainians. Anatoli Stepanischev will be head coach. Home games the team will play Druzhkovka.
For the rest of the teams of the championship almost no information, at least for me. I know also that Seukand will be Companion HC, its all.
