I feel as if @tabness has done it?

(Didn’t you have a list of players with their goals in an order of “importance”/“difficulty”: goals to put their team within one, to tie the game, to get ahead, to gain an insurance? It might have been that you looked at specific players, ie. Gretzky and Bossy)

pnep is like the idealized version of what the internet was supposed to be, right? Like, it wasn't supposed to be these children running around giving "hot takes" and encouraging folks to chase dishwasher pods with Surge or whatever...it was supposed to be collaborative information/data sharing and, man, he's just an Internet Originalist haha - I love it so much.

Yes, the official game tying goal stat was a silent casualty of the new NHL and technically speaking, it wasn't simply based upon the score that tied the game (before 1984-1985 a player on each team would be given credit for a "game tying goal" for a tied game lol before it just went to the last player who scored to tie a game that eventually remained tied), so simply deriving it from score effect data would need to account for that.

I believe @pnep's data is derived from the score effects info since it incorporates games that ended in a shootout. So there may be discrepancies between it and official data from 1983-1984 and before (to be honest the old way of having two game tying goals is kinda weird anyway lol), but of course, that data is long forgotten in those those official stat books and some hockey cards and what not.

The seasons markings are a bit off. I assume, they indicate start year of the season when the first GTG was scored and end year of the season the last GTG was scored. Since 2023(/24) season is not upon us yet.
