I want the chance at a high lotto pick next year much more.

It's going to be an amazing draft. Multiple franchise altering picks. And not just at 1OA. I'd rather have the 5th pick there than the 2nd this year.

We should be wanting multiple picks there, not zero.

Lets close the door on the bad trade tonight, and bottom out properly for next year.

Second of all, yes.... there would be a whole lot of hate directed at us if we won the lottery, I guarantee it. There are a lot of people mad at us for many good reasons, so adding in a dumb reason for them to likewise get mad at us would be hilarious.

I voted no. I would think that if we finish 4-10 next year it would be pretty much a wash if we picked n the top 2 this year. But next year we at least have a chance for an altering pick. Rather than no chance at all in a very deep draft.

I think 2nd overall this year is probably worth about 6-7th overall next year in terms of prospect value, but with how lucky hockey can be you always take the now and then see what happens next year.

It’s a pretty consistent trend with you that you hype up the current draft over next years.

Next season you will hype up the top 10 in that draft and the process will just repeat. Along the way you find a new guy who becomes your new draft crush and will call the team stupid for not taking said player in the later rounds only for that player to not even be drafted (Peter Reynolds 2.0)
