Restructuring takes a decade. If this is a flop there are going to be retirees that never witness a cup final in Toronto, not even a cup win. There comes a point where fans need to put the organizations feet to the fire.

Its just beyond me. I get worked up, is what it is I guess.
Bruins and vegas say hi...with the right kind of tinkering they could turn this around quick

Forget scoring goals in a vacuum.

We don't exit the zone like actual playoff teams do. We can't execute an effective dump and chase like effective playoff teams do when they neutral zone gets inevitability choked off. We can't generate any sustained pressure whatsoever when we do get the puck in the zone, zero cycle game at all to speak of.

The problems literally start 200 feet down the other way of the ice if you wanna talk about why we can't score goals in the playoffs. The star players dictate it all, they have no interest in doing the hard and tough things above and they just straight up give up in the postseason. End this f***ing core 4 immediately after losing game 5, after this series I am officially over this team.

This is the first time in a long time I have been disinterested in watching my favorite team in the playoffs. I have found other things to do with my time. If the players being paid tens of millions do not care, why should I? Quite frankly I am also tired of the Rogers and Bell monopoly having control of every major aspect of our lives, whether it be television, telecommunications, or entertainment. I am reaching the point where I am close to hating the city I was born in and the hockey team that represents it.

Watching guys we had light up for other organizations is also a punch in the gut. Clutch and hard nosed players like Verhaeghe, Hyman, Kadri, Josuhua, and even Andersen are exactly what we need and we let them slip through our fingers. This team needs a complete rebuild from top to bottom. I don't care if Treliving just started, fire Shanahan and have the next President of Hockey Ops hire his own GM. Enough of doing things ass-backward.

I have been told many times that once Boston loses Bergeron, Krejci, Chara, Rask due to age that we will surpass them and make a run. How are they still better? Shanahan needs to answer that.
Another very good question that nobody in the entire Leafs organization has an answer to . A further good question is our goaltending has been crap the last 5 years…….why didn’t Dubas fix that. I hear from posters that it’s hard to do……fair enough but Boston loses Rask a great goalie and lo and behold they replace him with 2 very good goalies. How the hell can they do it and we can’t

You are a better man than me. I don't like my women having more hair than me. But no access to the world is kind of appealing. I just might bring a razor.

First thing Lou did was trade for a youngish starting goalie in Andersen. This organization needs its scouting staff gutted.

Former Leafs player Jay Rosehill:

"Why does everyone else around this godd*mn team seem to care more about the team than the godd*mn players that are on it right now? What was that effort? I can handle last game's loss. I can handle a game three loss because they f*cking went all out. They were peppering everything they could.

It was passionate, it was energetic. I could give a rip if you take too many penalties because you're just playing as hard as you can. Tonight was so uninspiring, so pathetic, that I had to watch these guys just look around and complain, complain that it wasn't easy, complain that it wasn't given to them.

What planet are they on? What league are they playing in? Do they even know what the Stanley Cup is? Do they even f*cking watch hockey? Do you even know hockey? Do you know what it is to watch the commercials of people winning the Stanley Cup and bringing them to tears while their shoulders are separated and their knees half torn and their legs all swollen and they just battle because they love the game and they are passionate, intense, inspiring people.

I can't find it on this roster, aside from a couple of guys who aren't good enough to win it by themselves. Right? It looked like a preseason game. Like, I don't want to be here. Like, this isn't important to me. That's what it looked like from the big dogs, whom we put all our faith in.

I'm as positive as you can be about this team. I'll give them every benefit of the doubt. Anytime they lead with a little bit of effort, I will back them to the end of the f*cking world. And they show up with that in a game that could tie the series up and make this thing go to seven games or sh*t your pants and basically shut the season down, which is what they did."

No offense to Jay Rosehill but he was irrelevant when he wore our jersey. Same with O-Dog, same with Kypreos. Every plug with a microphone has a hot take.

You forgot Biz, Hrudey, Versteeg, and Bieksa. I'd hardly call it hot takes. Team sucked Saturday night and they deserve all the criticism. Period.

love or hate lou he tried to instill a team mentality and not an individual one....enter Dubas and here we are

Very underrated in this department. He knew that dressing nicely to a team meeting, a bit of responsibility etc. goes a long way ...

He for sure knew how to overpay UFA, but we showed him with our RFAs(he was usually strict with) and UFA JT !

On the flip side, if we kept Mike Babcock "Stop crying like a lil b**h, this is not a junior hockey" sounds like something he could tell them 5-6 years ago? It sounds like something Mike could use in his speech!

How are they just finding out?

I heard Mark Masters on TSN say Woll is likely to start. Anyone have a tweet confirming that?

O'Neill scored 41 goals in the NHL during the dead puck era. Not exactly a plug like Kypreos who's biggest contribution to the team was running over Grant Fuhr and wrecking his knees.

I have no problem with people who get worked up. I myself have 50 years in and no Cup. It sucks.

How they going to win with Matthews out? Please don't start Samsonov use Woll! Domi better pickup his game and not take stupid penalties. Not giving Brodie a single playoff game? Guess good news our 1st round round pick be worth more when we exit out the playoffs soon.

Repeat of last year so sure why not give Woll what could be the last game of the season again. We always do the same thing..
