Explains Mac's hesitation to shootGlobe:
On the injury front, McAvoy said he dealt with a problematic AC joint in his shoulder most of the season, while Pastrnak had a nagging groin issue, though he said it did not affect him in the postseason.
Hesitation? It was more like a flat out refusal most nights lol.Explains Mac's hesitation to shoot
I was trying to be fair. Makes me wonder if he's headed for surgery in the very near future to scope it. I hope it isn't the shoulder he had surgery on a few years agoHesitation? It was more like a flat out refusal most nights lol.
But yeah, it certainly explains why he wasn't winding up nearly as much.
I was just gonna say that, wasn't sure if I was thinking of another guy. These shoulder/groin things tend to come back around for a lot of guys. He's too young for this crap.I was trying to be fair. He and Gryz had the same procedured Poitras had a few years ago. I remember Andrew Ference having to have surgery on both his groins the summer before we won the cup and it making a world of difference.I was just gonna say that, wasn't sure if I was thinking of another guy. Honestly, I said the same thing to hubby!I didn't even realize we have more than one groin!

Pasta heading to play in another tournament , nothing wrong with his "nagging" groin.Globe:

Lucky as an old hound with two weiners!I didn't even realize we have more than one groin!
I was convinced he had a hand injury, the way he was losing control of the puck so often. Guess not?Pasta heading to play in another tournament , nothing wrong with his "nagging" groin.
Well...Pasta was icing his hand on the bench.I was convinced he had a hand injury, the way he was losing control of the puck so often. Guess not?
Buy he's okay to keep playing in Europe?Well...Pasta was icing his hand on the bench.
That was a couple of weeks ago. Mac was icing his as well.Buy he's okay to keep playing in Europe?
Not just Europe, home. That was a couple of weeks ago. Mac was icing his as well.
I have no issue with Pasta playing in Europe. why shouldn't he?

He still seemed to be handling the puck less well than usual up to the end of the Panthers series. No problem with players wanting to keep playing, especially back home where they're from, but IF he still has a nagging hand injury, I would suggest he'd be serving the Bruins better if he let it heal fully. That was a couple of weeks ago. Mac was icing his as well.

Like Marchand did...I am sure whatever his issue was , was discussed with doctors, and there are no concerns for long term injury. He did, and would have continued to play Bruins games with whatever pain he was in.
