Given two florida players did a dirty slash in the exact same manner to the back of the knee I'm wondering if that just sort of happened or if somebody ordered it.

Most of the time when somebody does a slash behind the play its on the shins or hands trying to initiate a fight and not targeting that soft spot.

I would not count these other "big stages" as NHL playoff elimination game caliber. Also Knight got chased in the World Juniors after giving up 4 goals on 12 shots against Russia back in December, and then let in 6 goals to UMass Lowell in the Hockey East Tournament in March, so his record hasn't been spotless this year in big games with 0 crowds.

Knight has less experience than Dryden did though (besides the two games). Dryden spent most of the season in the AHL.
