So they would still have the chains, but they would be more of a reference point and backup.

As a Jewish transwoman, I find Butker’s hateful speech to be disgusting and scientifically and, ironically enough, religiously (if he claims to be Catholic, he should damn well know it was the Romans who persecuted and later crucified Jesus with Judas being the catalyst; hell, he should know that Jesus was Jewish at first) wrong.

Given that he lives in a country where freedom of speech and religion matters, he’s allowed to say these things. However, he is not free from the repercussions of his free speech.

If the Chiefs decide to cut him because of his idiotic comments (including bashing a good portion of the Chiefs hardcore fanbase, and he was stupid enough to go after the girlfriend of the tight end who owns the damn career Super Bowl receiving touchdown record, so he’s pissed off damn near every Swiftie as well - and before you ask, no, I am not a Swiftie.), he has nobody to blame but himself.

Again, as an American, he has every right to make stupid comments, so long as those comments don’t cause physical harm to anyone else. He does not have the right to be immune from the fallout of his hateful speech (see; Jones, Alex).

And we should be clear, there is no fallout from his speech. People online are mad at him, but so what. Despite all of the big talk about how he’s being silenced, he’s not.

Not surprised. Draft should go to cities that do not get awarded a Super Bowl. Doesn't need to go to places like LV/Dal who have hosted before. Even Ten with their new stadium that will likely be part of the SB rotation moving forward.

Obviously, with history at various draft cities like KC, Cle, Det, LV, Phi, Chi, Dal, etc. you know what the host city needs in terms of hotels and stuff.

I'll wager any amount these guys aren't hanging out after practice.

That is full on diplomatic distancing himself. Mahomes isn't gonna throw him under the bus.

Team first. Not sure what you are looking for here. An argument? Go elsewhere.
Or you could just admit you were wrong

Allowing outright bigotry to be passed off as a benign difference of opinion is an act of utter cowardice and intellectual dishonesty. Shame on the NFL, Goodell, Reid, and Mahomes for trying to weasel out of this by throwing that narrative out there, and shame on all the media people and fans letting them get away with it. It should not be difficult or controversial to outright disavow homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, and antisemitism. People who are bigots should not be protected from the consequences of sharing that bigotry with this Orwellian double speak nonsense where we try to pretend naked hatred is just some kind of personal preference to be accepted, like favorite flavors of ice cream or what sport you like to watch the most. If you feel safe enough to tell the whole world you hate women, gays, Jews, and trans people you should be brave enough to face the consequences of that hatred head on.

Not agreeing with him, but his jersey sales aren't hurting. Not sure if gets a cut.
