Looks like Bo is about to go an absolute heater too. No way he finishes the season with the numbers you see now. He is going on a heater to get his numbers closer to where they should be. I think yesterday was just the start for him.

I think it's safer to say that he has already started his heater.

Since May 10th, he's rocking a .382/.447/.588.

Over that same span, Guerrero and Jansen have similar numbers, then the wRC+ of the rest are 80 (Varsho), 111 (Schneider), 197 (Vogelbach), 127 (KK), 72 (Kirk), 71 (Springer), 39 (IKF), 34 (Biggio), 1 (Clement) and 0 for 23 with 0BB (Turner)

The best case lineup for today (assuming Jano is catching) would be something like:

Schneider
Jansen
Vlad
Bo
Vogelbach
Springer
Varsho
(whoever happens to be played 3B)
KK

Facing a tough lefty, I would put Turner in for Vogelbach and make sure Clement is at 3B. I wouldn't even be against KK on the bench and IKF in the lineup. Something like:

LF Schneider
C Jansen
1B Vlad
SS Bo
DH Turner
RF Springer
3B Clement
CF Varsho
2B IKF

As much as Turner has fallen off, he's still destroying lefties this year, so you might as well have him in the lineup tonight. If I had any faith in Turner to play a half-decent 3B, I would put him there, leave IKF out, have Kirk catch and Jansen DH. But... I don't.

Based on what Schneider usually does, though, I'll guess what we actually get looks more like:

LF Schneider
DH Turner
1B Vlad
SS Bo
RF Springer
C Kirk
CF Varsho
2B IKF
3B Clement

Not terrible, just a couple weird choices that make the lineup worse. That seems to be his strategy.

Damn, that's much closer to what I hoped we would see than what I expected to see. Clement should be hitting higher than 9th against lefties, but I'll take it.

Yup, though vs Righties I’d like to see Varsho bat ahead of Turner/Springer in the order. But please keep him in the middle of the order. Babe and Jano should be 1 and 2 and shift everyone up a spot when Jano is out.

I may be reading into things too much, but it looked like Springer was jawing with someone after he made the last out of the 7th.. Fan perhaps?

Two years ago Springer was a 133wRC hitter. Now he’s 66. What the hell happened?
Time comes for us all and he was already known to be a bit injury prone when he was signed. He was always going to break down before his contract ended but I don't think it was expected to be this sudden. Also he's probably not going to be this bad all season, though I don't expect a massive rebound.

Just saw the highlights of tonight’s game. They struck out the heart of the order in the 9th and every one of them looking. This team is so easy to dislike.

On another note I’m in San fransisco for work this week but the giants are out of town all week so I drove into Oakland for their game tonight. I can understand why the fans wanted a new stadium for so long. It looks like a fief you’d expect to see in Cuba. Just all around ugly. Half the concession stands if not more weren’t even open. Scarce crowd to say the least. Got the sell the team chants at the game.

He's about to turn 35 in a sport where almost nobody hits well past age 32-33.

He's probably not as bad as this (I thought he was quite unlucky in the first couple weeks of the season) but this was always what was going to happen with this contract, which was a poor decision the second it was signed.
