ATD 2023 pre-draft discussion

There were 20 GMs in the last all-time draft.
It'd be nice to match or exceed it.

Draft order idea: Let GMs "request" a draft position by chunks:
i) EARLY in the draft order
ii) MIDDLE
iii) LATE
iv) no preference

It should be easy to accommodate these requests, given how preferences differ.

I can't imagine anyone actively wishing for a middle-of-order drafting position...

How about a draft by era at some point? You exhaust the pre-nhl stage, choose as many as you want but will lose picks in other eras later on?

Always thought it would be fun to do a keeper league in 20 or 30 year chunks, though it would certainly be a lengthy commitment.

Imagine drafting Makarov and Fetisov for your '60-'80 team knowing full well you'd get nothing out of them in that cycle, finishing last and drafting Gretzky first overall for '80-'00
