West defense coming soon

Ryan Suter has 2 offers already on the table, both from good young teams.

Ryan is up to 4 MASSIVE offers on the table. There is a very good chance he signs tonight

I would say there is no chance he signs tonight because he can't sign before noon ET tomorrow according to the rules... :sarcasm:

Update/demands on top Western UFA D-men

Ryan Suter: Received an absolute ton of interest so far. 9-10 teams have called. 3 teams have really blown the others away in terms of money and term. 2 legit contenders and 1 up and coming team. Money on all offers has succeeded 8 million per year. Thats the starting point right now

Brad Stuart: Brad is a solid consolation prize to any team that doesnt land Suter. Solid puck moving d--man who is great in his own end as well. 2 offers on the table, both in the 3=4 mil range. Looking to play for a contender

Sheldon Souray and Colin White: 2 steady veterans looking for one last chance at a championship. Both are looking to play for contenders. Money is looking at 1.5-2 mil a year on a 2-3 year deal

Greg Zanon: Very underrated defender. Will listen to all offers. Looking for 2.5-3 million on a 4-5 yr deal.

Cory Sarich: Looking to rejuvenate his career. Will listen to all offers

Michal Rozival and Adrian Aucoin: Same situation as White and Souray. Looking to play where they can contribute and try to win a championship. Aucoin would take discount to play for contender

New Jersey has signed Jim Slater to a two year deal worth $2.6M. The Devils also re-signed Petr Sykora to a 1 year deal worth $0.650m, continuing the A-line reunion tour which sparked Elias to finish #17 in the league in points (as of January 23rd) in the 2011-2012 season.

I'm the agent for Gill and never got anything. Propably a mix up because he was traded but he should still be a eastern defenceman UFA.

I just say that because 2 GM had offers for Gill to me and it would'nt be fair to them.

Oh, my bad. I just assumed that since he was on my team last that I would have to talk to the west agent.

The New York Islanders have made a few moves today...
prod

Islanders Sign Bryan Allen
The NY Islanders announce the signing of Bryan Allen to a two-year deal. He will earn $2,500,000 annually and will take a spot on our bottom defensive pair. We love his defensive orientated game and his physicality. Going into the off-season we identified size and strength as key needs on the back-end and Allen possesses both of those.

prod

Islanders Sign Kyle Wellwood
The Islanders have also signed Kyle Wellwood to a one-year deal. He will earn $1,000,000 which we believe is very fair for both parties considering that this past season could have possibly been a fluke. We have been looking for a solid 2nd line center, and with guys like Ryan Strome nearing the NHL we decided it might be best to look for a short-term fix to fill the hole until those prospects are here. At this price and term, we think this is a low-risk move that could potentially payoff tremendously.

Sign LW Jochen Hecht , 2 yr deal /1.9M cap hit (NMC)

We are happy to add such a good leader / all around player to our team.

He will play LW on Hawks 3rd line (Shutdown line) with Bolland-Kruger as his linemates
