it's an organizational ranking of u24s. hoglander is 23. tolopilo is 24

i think vancouver is better than that ranking indicates but i also think the nhl teams success overshadowed a pretty bad year for the system as a whole. only really lekkerimaki (and silovs) outperformed expectations. willander met expectations but podkolzin, raty, klimovich, ward and hirose all struggled. sasson, bains and mynio probably had the most optomistic years and none of them really project to be much. guys like pettersson and kudryavtsev might be something but we've barely even seen them in the ahl yet
Yeah, every teams prospect pool has 17 players that are depth. The difference between a 26th and a 12th place team is one very good player really. Brzustewicz is listed as a core player for Calgary's farm rankings there. Dustin Wolf looks great in the Ahl, just not in the NHL for their "A" for goalies. It takes one or two to outperform or under perform and the look of the club prospects pool changes drastically.

I think having 2 guys in Lekk and Willander being on track to be impact players is pretty successful already nevermind the fact that we have some guys that are developing well for the bottom 6 role in Bains, Sasson and Raty. I don’t think that wouldn’t make our ranking that much higher, anyway this ranking feels pointless

Nope that's my mistake I meant Mueller not Perkins.
But, see Vector's post above! He is indeed going to be in Abbotsford next year. Interesting ... sort of. (My excuse for not knowing he's done with college is that Elite Prospects still has Perkins as unsigned.)

If the Canucks don't acquire any additional picks between now and the June entry draft, then our prospect pool is bound to take a 'hit'.

Vancouver doesn't draft until the third round, and from all reports this isn't a strong draft to begin with. But I guess with the contributions that Lindholm and Zadorov made to the Canucks playoff run, nobody is complaining too much.

Sorry, it was Ty Mueller.

Hahahahaha we have late season prospect news . Josh Bloom has scored his 1st goal of the Mastercard Memorial Cup, Saginaw is up 5-3 on the Moose Jaw Warriors whom I have as the favourite to win the Tournament
I think London are probably the heavy favourites.

The Canucks better draft some Swedish prospects this year or Samuelsson isn't going to have much to do. He will only have Hugo Gabrielsson and Lucas Forsell to look after.
Gabrielsson isn't showing NHL worthy.
Forsell is gonna need a big boost in his production this year.

I believe Moose Jaw with that fire power can dethrone the Knights which is why I am picking them as the favourites, London off to a great start today 4-0 win but I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if London won .

Looking forward to both teams playing each other on Monday

He's a development coach for all prospects no? Don't think it matters if they're Swedish or not.

Josh Bloom had a strong game in Saginaw's 7-1 beatdown of the WHL champions Moose Jaw Warriors. His skating certainly stands out at this level......and his sublime backhand pass through the slot set up a goal.

I know he busted hard in Abbotsford earlier this year......but he certainly skates well enough to have a pro career. Maybe his second stint in Abbotsford will go a lot better than his first.

No, draft some WHL kids for once. They generally show up in the playoffs.

One of the great ironies of the Benning years, is that despite having a stellar career in the WHL himself, he was never able to draft a single player of consequence from the WHL. And his record on drafting d-men from that league was even worse.

The current regime has at least taken a flyer on a few guys from the that league--and it looks like Bains and Mynio are solid prospects. And I feel almost certain that in the 2021 entry draft they'd have gone for someone like Stankoven over Klimovich.

Petey and Hogs were completely mia during the playoffs. Zero excuses for them.

Happy for Bloom seems like a great kid. If he could translate his junior game to pro hockey he could be a good btm6 player. Was overwhelmed by the lack of time and space but you could see his skating and size as projectable traits.

If it doesn't work out what a way to end his junior career

I really hope Bloom can be like a Ryan Callahan , Kevin Leblanc or Mike Hoffman type or should I even say jonathan marchessault.

Let’s hope his overage season can turn him into a future Vancouver productive player especially after the game of his life today !!!!

Did any of those guys play an OA season other than Callahan?
