if they trade Saros, it should be for a player that can contribute now and get better over the next few years. It doesn’t need to be for a pick that may or may not contribute three to four years down the road. Forward or Defender, doesn’t matter just needs to upgrade one of the units considerably next year.

I’d also add that I hope they trade Saros so we don’t have to listen to the idiots yelling “YOU SEE” during the national anthem.

There are enough teams in need of a starting calibre goalie that getting a roster calibre player over a draft pick/or a recently drafted player is more ideal.

Any team looking to get Saros is going to be looking towards the playoffs so I think it's going to be real hard to get a decent roster player for him.

Glass won't get us anything, for sure. The best we can do is roll him back out there next season, fingers crossed that he has some kind of come-to-Jesus moment this summer, because if he doesn't then his NHL career is going to evaporate before he knows it. Good for him that he got his $5M on the strength of the previous year + our desperation for a center, at least. If he can't re-invent some parts of his game, it's going to be Switzerland for him a couple years probably. :(

I think we're seeing in these playoffs that we don't have any real choice but to keep the status quo in goal for at least another year. There shouldn't be any pressure to make a move until we can be confident that we have the position secured for the long haul.

More teams will be willing to make hockey trades and n the offseason than at the TDL. If they’re going to trade him, they should do it the draft or before expanding the number of teams they can deal with.

Glass doesn't have any value

Saros has value but not as much as people think.

We're gonna have to draft and trade with some swagger and hope those pan out sooner rather than later.

If Glass has value you better move him to whoever thinks he has it because Brunette called a guy up rather than giving Glass a shot in the playoffs.
Brunette indicated in that postmortem that he's only going to play guys who play with sandpaper and grit. He wants guys who'll play that physical style of game. Which isn't really very different than what Hynes wanted. Skilled players need not apply. (Looking at you Connor Bedard.)

Explains why they wanted Duchene gone so badly, and why Glass, Tomasino, and Fabbro are likely to be traded/dumped soon.
