Almost a 'guaranteed loss' night. No way the Oilers were going out of the playoffs on home ice.

Tocchet said they'd need their best game of the series to get it done.....probably foreshadowing that if they didn't get it, they were likely to lose.

The value of these playoffs so far is that young guys like Hughes and Pettersson are finding out what it takes to win in the playoffs....and that all the room and soft play during the regular season disappears.

So if they crash out Monday, at least they've learned some valuable playoff lessons.

Yeah I found myself yawning in the 2nd period and figured that was a sign. I can tell the difference between a game in which they're down two goals but still very much in, and a game they're down and not in at all.
