The reality is that when you are making 8 million dollars a year, because you have proven you have elite game breaking offense, you need to generate more offense than Pettersson has been generating. Period.
He generated offense today, it just didn't go in the net.

May as well use your criteria on Miller tonight. Makes 8M, pure points are the only thing that counts, where's your criticism for Miller's production? Zero shots, no points other than a 22-23 Boeser special on the EN, he must have not been worth his money today too?

Canucks have 2 main threats.

1. Hughes dancing on the blue line and rovering

2. Garland spinning and feeding pucks into the slot.

Aside from the obvious that Joshua was excellent, thought Ian Cole was especially good out of the defense.

Miller tried too hard to be physical, and then got frustrated lost focus and missing scoring chances.

He's so important to the team I'm not sure I want him hitting Lauzon, Sherwood, Smith etc.

Petey was quiet offensively as he's been for a while now, but he's playing with Hoglander (looked nervous) and Lafferty(clearly not a top 6 forward).

If you put Garland/Joshua with Petey, how will he look?

Positive is Canucks were not good for 60 minutes, and still won, that's a good sign that we can beat the Preds

Yeah, I would single out Hoglander as one of the weaker forwards. Still moving his legs, but squeezing the stick more than anybody.

Might have actually been weaker than Pettersson, considering that the latter was still making smart defensive plays and supporting well all over the ice.

I feel like sometimes these guys who succeed in the regular season by giving 110% when everyone else is at 90% struggle when the intensity ramps up and the one thing that they really separate themselves with disappears.

He'll need to find another gear yet to be effective. He was clearly trying tonight but really got nothing done.
