At least the Oilers have Perry this time, instead of Talbot, should he stand on his head again
Just win both home games, and steal one there. I want it over in 5 games type thing. The 'literal' part of the out for blood part is what concerns me most. Exceptionally dirty team (VGK Pete's hatchet job of Leon notwithstanding) that will take a toll like the previous two years.
If they want to win this they better not dick around
They'll have to go through the Central now.Hopefully 3rd time ain't the charm!
Vegas has to run the gauntlet now.
Exactly. If you get past Dallas you likely get Colorado. I was hoping the Oil would get Vegas, but I think LA is the "safer" option, so long as they've actually learned from the last couple of seasons. But for Vegas I feel like crossing over is worst case, so f*** em.They'll have to go through the Central now.
Agree but Vegas has some nasty guys as well. That is the one disappointing error by Holland. Not getting more grit in 4th line beyond CarrickThe 'literal' part of the out for blood part is what concerns me most. Yeah, if the Jets can get through the Avs then they're still up against it. Win win for everyoneOr the Helleybuck-Jets.
I think he could stone them (including Stone).
Not always a good idea it’s such a coin flip on that one.Well boys, time to finish these turds off!
And remember, the sooner you finish the series, the more rest before the next round.
Honestly the Oilers won 2 years ago and yet last year it was the Oilers who were the ones who were out for blood (and earned themselves a bunch of penalties for it). LA did not seem interested in repeating all the post-whistle scrums and tackles from the first year. The 'literal' part of the out for blood part is what concerns me most. None of Holloway, Kane, Foegele, or Perry can play C, which will be the thing that keeps one of Ryan or Carrick in the lineup, short of moving RNH or Henrique to 3C and McLeod to 4C.Can't read too much into this game, but...
Can anyone say Carrick or Ryan have outplayed Holloway (or anyone) down the stretch here?
Though I don't think the answer is Holloway on the 4th with down defensive specialists. Rather, I think you move McLeod between Janmark and Brown to make a quality defensive line, and you roll with Holloway with Foegele/Kane and Perry for a pure energy line.
Resting the better goalie?.. only lasted a periodGlad thats done althoug I would like to know WTF Knoblauch was thinking starting Skinner behind an AHL quality team.
Thank God they overcame the “or bust” part of the season because it was looking like a busted season from game 1 until Knoblauch & Coffey came in.Started 2-9-1 and never recovered.
In an alternate universe, that is.
Onto the playoffs!
Pickard isnt stopping any of those goals. That was AHL level defence or worse.Resting the better goalie?.. only lasted a period

Ehh I agree but Skinner doesn’t get a complete pass from letting in 4 on 6 shots.Pickard isnt stopping any of those goals. That was AHL level defence or worse.
We hope he will be.Ehh I agree but Skinner doesn’t get a complete pass from letting in 4 on 6 shots.
I don’t think anyone was mentally checked in for that game though so I get it. He will be dialled in game 1.
Apparently Skinner asked to start.Glad thats done althoug I would like to know WTF Knoblauch was thinking starting Skinner behind an AHL quality team.
