Ideally Kesler wins a Cup in Anaheim...Bonino is a better replacement for Kesler than we could have hoped for and Jared McCann becomes the player Kyle Dubas thinks he is.
Win-win for everyone.
Ideally Kesler scores an own goal in game 7 of a first round flame out.
Bonino drops 60 points before the trade deadline and is moved for a first to Toronto, who is in the middle of a heated playoff race.
Toronto then pulls their usual shenanigans and finish dead last.
We win the lottery after missing the playoffs and draft McDavid and Eichel, and some big biotech company finds a way to bring the Sedins back to their prime.
Boom.

You have lots of hate festering inside of you...don't you? Or is that just the smog?

Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata
Jensen-Bonino-Kassian
Vey-Matthias-Hansen
Sestito-Richardson-Dorsett
Horvat Higgins
Horvat is going to be a solid center defensively that will play on all the penalty kills, but im not sure where he would fit in this season. It might not seem like it, but the canucks have quite a bit of depth.
Hamhuis-Bieksa
Sbisa-Tanev
Edler-Corrado
I've never seen him happy about anything.

Matthias-H. Sedin-Vrbata
I made this line because when Vrbata was at his best, he had A: A guy that could create space for him to walk in and snipe (Hanzal) and an elite passer in Ray Whitney.
D.Sedin-Bonino-Kassian
Solid line all around. You got Daniel to feed Bonino and Kassian, Kassian being a good passer himself can distribute the puck just like Daniel, and also create space for the other guys and be that intimidating, big player on that line.
Higgins - Vey - Burrows
Great two way scoring third line. Would give a lot of teams fits having to deal with them, especially if Vey develops into what he's supposed to.
Dorsett/Hansen - Richardson - Hansen/Dorsett
Whoever can play LW better plays there. You have speed, grit, and tenacity on this line. Has the makings to be a very good 4th line, who can actually be effective.
Hamhuis - Bieksa
I like this pairing because Hamhuis can cover for Bieksa's pinches, and I think these guys would just click together.
Edler - Tanev
Self explanatory. Young guys that can play, and Tanev to cover for Edler's gaffe and pinches.
Sbisa/Stanton - Weber
This pairing will be a rotating door all year, so I'm not even going to try and make a set pairing to roll with.
Somewhat bold be interesting to see this lineup in preseason
Doesn't matter what combo you come up with... its going to be a crappy lineup, hard to believe we'll also be a softer team too.
Burrows and Hansen are about as tough as my sisters.lol what are you talking about soft?
We have:
Kassian
Burrows (A pest)
Hansen
Dorsett
Richardson
Matthias (He can use size)
Bieksa
Stanton
Sbisa
-------------------------------
Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata
These guys are all 1st liners and will hopefully bring lots of scoring.
Burrows - Bonino - Jensen
Burrows and Jensen have great chemistry and actually started clicking together last season. Bonino can make players around him better so that may be a good 2nd line.
Higgins - Vey - Kassian
This should be a good third line and Vey likes to make plays and so as Higgins so Kassian and Higgins should be getting points.
Matthias - Richardson - Hansen/Dorsett
Looks like a great 4th line.
--------------------------------------------------
Relax this is evaluation time and Benning will make the changes needed.

If you think that's a tough lineup well then... Your overrating our toughness. Kassian is tough but he doesn't use his body a lot or **** kick guys, your really reaching with a lot of those guys about them being tough...
They bring grit to the team.
- Bieksa will challenge and fight.
- Stanton will challenge and fight and can really handle himself.
- Kassian will fight
- Sbisa will fight and throws hits and is tough
- Dorsett will get into the dirty areas and fight and throw hits
- Richardson and Hansen bring grit and get in the mix.
You guys are really going to say that is not a tough team? Really?
I am pretty sure we don't have to show what Bieksa can do.
Problem is though Sbisa and Stanton are bottom pairing guys and one will likely be the 7th D man...Dorsett and Richardson are 4th liners and Richardson isn't all that tough.
Take a look at the toughness in the top 9
Sedin Sedin Vrbata there's no toughness here
Burrows Bonino Kassian Burrows is gritty and willing but he doesn't make us tough... Kassian is one guy in the top 6 that's tough
3rd line
Higgins Vey Hansen there's no toughness here
We have one guy in the top 9 who is tough, we have one D man in the top 4 who is tough and he's getting old now. We're not a tough team.
So what? We tried the whole toughness thing last year, got us nowhere. The league is moving away from the toughness factor and moving towards skill and speed.
Look at Chicago:
Bickell - Toews - Hossa
Sharp - Handzus - Kane
Saad - Shaw - Versteeg
Sooooooooo much toughness there right? I use them as an example because the won the Cup 2 years ago and were in the conference finals this year.
