This one's a "duh" if you ask me :D
Found this to be interesting. Might be more than meets the eye, similar to the Olivier deal.

What is Hunter McKown’s career projection? — Brian L.

I spoke with five or six scouts and coaches in recent days. I’ve not seen him play, so all I can do is call people I trust and wait to see him play a few games with my own eyes. From what they tell me, they think he can be an NHL center. He’s got size and strength and skates well enough. A few have been pretty vague beyond that, but most seem to think he’s a top-nine guy, which probably means that “middle-six” is a fair to optimistic read. He’s really turned himself into a good player after some difficult seasons. Let’s see where that passion and drive can take him now.

Also this one
Do you know what role, if any, former Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin plays in mentoring the Russian players who come to Columbus? — Michael Z.

Tyutin scouted for the club briefly a couple of seasons ago, but apparently decided pretty quickly that it wasn’t for him. But he has played a big role in welcoming some of the young Russian players to town, especially forward Kirill Marchenko. He’s had players over to his house for dinner with his family, showed them around town, pointed them toward people they can trust, etc. If tried to get him going on this a few times, but Tyutin is extremely humble about it. To him, it’s just something a kind person would do. And he’s right.

GUESS WHOSE BACK

Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today that forward Alexandre Texier will rejoin the club for the 2023-24 National Hockey League season after spending the 2022-23 campaign with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland's National League. The team also announced that the second year of Texier's two-year contract, which was signed on July 28, 2021, will toll to cover the 2023-24 season.
"Alexandre Texier is an outstanding, young player who is an important part of our team and we are excited that he will be rejoining the club as expected next season," said Kekalainen. "His well-being has been our sole priority and we couldn't be happier that he is ready to resume what is a very promising NHL career at this time."

Don't worry, he's not good enough for the euro league so now he's just gonna bum it up in Columbus and collect an NHL paycheck

I'm happy to be wrong on this one. Never wished him any ill will for doing what he did, but certainly didn't think it was likely he'd be back. He'll be a good addition - adds attributes we're lacking. Welcome back!

I’m glad he’s coming back. He’s easily an effective top 9 forward on this squad.

Cool. Hopefully we won't have an article from Switzerland saying "Jarmo what?" soon.

Nah but it's great to have Tex back. Hope he has a good offseason and is ready to battle, we'll have quite a training camp it feels like.

Some people underestimate the quality of the Swiss national league which is close to becoming the best European league
Many players from NHL and KHL joined this league in the last two years.
The Swiss NL is unquestionably better than the AHL (better defenses, more physical game).

I watched most of Tex's games with Zurich. After an adaptation period, he came back to his A level game after game.
Encouraging for the next season. He played most of the time on the left side. A dozen games as a C.

For me, he's not there to play on the 4th line
Very happy to see him back in the NHL :thumbu:

Certainly adds more depth and increases the competition for roster spots, particularly on the third line.
