The likelihood hood of winning multiple Cups with the same core players is much higher when you tank. Outside of Boston, is there another team that hasn’t been one and done that didn’t tank?

While they certainly tanked, I’d say Tampa was a team that didn’t require tanking as Point, Kucherov, and Vasilvesky weren’t top 5 picks.

The point of scorched earth is that you'll get foundational players even if you don't win the draft lottery.

Gotta be one of the worst parts of going down 3-0 to the Sharks, Blackwood has been their best player much of the season, and despite them being still a bad team, we let Blackwood sit back and feel the puck all game, don’t get the juicy rebounds or bad positioning as much as when pressured
